hey all, can someone remind me if it is known where M.Ney was at the time of the disappearance in May 07?
Something been going over but just thought see what anyone here thinks too...

Ok so an older link but remember this odd sighting 24 hr before?
Madeleine McCann: Witness saw 'weird' stranger lurking near apartment
Witness saw 'weird' stranger lurking near apartment . A vital witness has revealed he saw a man wearing sunglasses lurking in a stairwell near Madeleine McCann’s apartment 24 hours before she vanished. Mario Fernando, 47, told Portuguese cops about the “weird” stranger lurking at the Ocean Club resort in Praia da Luz
—-
“When I walked down and turned into the hole to get the laundry, I saw the weird guy and we nearly bumped into each other. He was embarrassed. He looked nervous.

“He was walking out from the hole under the stairs and must have been much further inside but had taken several steps after hearing me coming. We were, like, dodging each other.

“He had a really fat face and had two-tone sunglasses on, they got lighter at the bottom and were big. I will never forget those glasses.

“There was no reason for him to be there and no reason to wear the glasses as it was dark under the stairs.
It is still recorded in my head like it was at the time. It was not usual for people to be there, in the shadows.

“My theory is that guy must have been involved, either in the kidnapping or studying what to do — their movements.
"He was there for something, for sure!—-

Ok so one thought and JMO .....but MN , possibly had a fat face if you look at these pics attached; (from Bild site)

That could be OC resident, Neil Berry.

Stay calm. HCW (Who is just the speaker of german prosecuters!) knows what he does, says and presents to the public.

The next source, that reports of his reliability over a third party! Yes, a big bluff could ruin his career. No need to do that. Just compare his appearence on interviews to Schwenn's minion.

Give it a bit more time!;)

PS: Journalists are "parasites", but usually very well connected!

I guess I'm just viewing it from his and CB's perspective. His client has been publicly linked (in extremely lurid terms) to numerous unsolved crimes for which no available evidence exists. I think, in CB's position, I'd also be drinking holy water in hell before I'd co-operate.

Please understand I'm not defending CB (we know enough about the crimes he HAS committed to know he's a bad 'un, through and through) but I'm really uneasy about the wildly rampant path this investigation has taken in the media, hence my understanding of Fulscher's position.
I'm as perplexed as the next person in trying to understand this and to predict the outcome however I'm sticking to my initial thoughts, in that they wouldn't publicly say what they have without having sufficient evidence.

Very interesting, thank you. The foster parents should have been violent to him (if that is or could even be confirmed!)?

That could explain a lot, even if the mother has been violent to him. Or the father was violent to his wife. But i'm asking, where these info is from. The files of the orphanage are said to be destroyed due to passage of time...
I have heard that too! It was in German MSM,RTL ? Der Spiegel..?? Anyway... one of the early reports of CB... a neighbor came forward, told that the fosterchildren were neglected by their foster parents, had a rough childhood.I believe he was the next door neighbor..had a good view of the garden of fam B.

This is the first I've read about this - do we have links?

There was also a discussion here, about the adoptive parents if they still lived there after the car accident? I guess the house was not adapted to his disabilities? They moved out?

Pls don’t make me search...

Do you mean adopted parents or possibly people who looked after him in the children's home?

Whilst the subject is fascinating and
as his adopted Mother isn't here to defend herself, I wouldn't want to speculate on that part of his childhood.
CB was an adult, he was responsible for his crimes, just like anyone else who MAY have had a difficult childhood is responsible for their lives :)

Perhaps in someone's pocket I guess...
Yes, and don't forget he was a seasoned burglar, a door lock can be unpicked in a few seconds

I respect your opinion, however,
I would never say that a waste of time and resources had been spent on a missing, possibly murdered child ever.
I would gladly pay more taxes in order that all parents can find their little ones, or find out what has happened to them.
But that's just my opinion.

I don't disagree with any of the above.

My reservations are entirely related to what I see as the very sensational manner in which this investigation was publicised by the German investigators. MM is still and always has only been only one strand of it but they presented it from the off as if she was the sole object of it. And then allowed speculation to run absolutely riot.

I really hope so and that MM's not just been used as a very cynical (and so emotion-led) fishing expedition in order to nail CB for other outstanding crimes they believe he's responsible for.

You really think so?
Seems a little cynical in itself.

Well..right now,I am very curious about the house and garden where he grew up.There is still.. a lot to unknown about him and the start would be interesting.I do however, understand that he is responsible of his horror crimes, many who have been there, don’t grow out to be monsters .Guess that house was the longest, he ever lived, must have been quite intriguing, don’t you think?!

I think we don't need to rewind that much but if you'd find that interesting it's up to you.

Basically these people who have such traumatic childhood get some prefrontal damage from beating and shaking as baby.

I'm not talking about adoptive parents, but rather about his addicted mother who didn't wish him, together with his absent father.

Or he simply has some kind of personality disorder, which is congenital, they say.

Sorry, I've got into the habit of asking that :)
I'm away to search.

In which could be a reason why none of the 3 foster children never kept in touch with the foster parents
