I think we don't need to rewind that much but if you'd find that interesting it's up to you.

Basically these people who have such traumatic childhood get some prefrontal damage from beating and shaking as baby.

I'm not talking about adoptive parents, but rather about his addicted mother who didn't wish him together with his absent father.

Or he simply has some kind of personality disorder, which is congenital, they say.

History repeats itself my dear Mendel.It is not an excuse what so ever...
From my point of view,it can give some insights.There isn’t much in the media about it.I searched also a lot about his biological mother and found nothing.
CB did talk about his childhood..I believe at the farmers house where he was chasing a sheep??

Well..right now,I am very curious about the house and garden where he grew up.There is still.. a lot to unknown about him and the start would be interesting.I do however, understand that he is responsible of his horror crimes,many who have been there,don’t grow out to be monsters .Guess that house was the longest, he ever lived,must have been quite intriguing,don’t you think?!

We don't know at what age he was adopted, it was reported, as a baby, we don't know when as a baby.
Psychopathology is shaped from the moment we are born.
Some research has suggested that whilst childhood abuse can be a factor, it is a lack of maternal bonding, rather than an abusive childhood including a genetic pre-disposition which may determine a psychopathic personality.
For instance - If the 'psychopathic' gene is there (nature), it is said can be switched on like a light if the primary caregiver (nurture) has difficulty bonding with the baby, or if no bond has taken place at all.
However, research will never stop and the nature, nurture debate will roll on.
We are all pretty complex, even those described as normal

All reports I’ve read say CB was adopted, as were the other two brothers. That’s different from fostering. At least in the UK anyway, once someone adopts a child they take the full financial responsibility of them. There’s a small grant for essential items when you first adopt, but after that the parents don’t receive any government money for the child. Perhaps it’s different in Germany?

ETA - sorry, forgot to add what I was replying to but in the previous page some folk were saying CB was fostered and discussing the monetary benefits of fostering in Germany.

All reports I’ve read say CB was adopted, as were the other two brothers. That’s different from fostering. At least in the UK anyway, once someone adopts a child they take the full financial responsibility of them. There’s a small grant for essential items when you first adopt, but after that the parents don’t receive any government money for the child. Perhaps it’s different in Germany?

Never worry Snowpea, a few people were so it seems to be a common misconception just didn’t want it growing legs and becoming fact lol.
But yeah I do agree, it does seem strange that she doesn’t have contact with any of them. All MSM reports I’ve read of her said she was always very kind but CB was well known for being a tear-away. Never any of the other brothers mentioned at all never mind in the same regard as CB, but it seems to be well known by her neighbours that she has no contact with them. And we don’t know what goes on behind closed doors.

Can’t find any reports about her neglecting or abusing CB as was mentioned on here (not by yourself, Snowpea but this is coming in your reply anyway lol) and kinda kicked the whole foster discussion off, but maybe it’s because I’m in the UK (searched the thread too as it was said there was a previous discussion about it but can’t find that either). Still strange why there’s no contact, but if we’re going to discuss neglect and abuse here and attribute it to certain people, we’d need to have links coming.

Interesting that he says his client would invoke his right to remain silent.

How does that impact on a defence in German law? In the UK if you remain silent on facts you could reasonably have answered at the time - it means they cannot then be used in your defence.

It also allows the court to draw inferences from the silence eg failing to account for something. But it can only form part of the case.

Every murderer starts somewhere. And his background of sexual abuses is far from unusual.

What depresses me is how often somebody is charged with murder and rape and when it comes to court a long history of exposing themselves, minor assaults and petty thefts are listed.

They are crimes that should be taken far more seriously because so many murderers do seem to have started that way

Please don't jump on that train, that CB could be responsible to every missing german child in germany! It is food for his solicitor, if a case can be ruled out! There was never a reliable and known connection to CR!!

Indeed that case came to mind straight away. Years of indecent exposure and sexually motivated theft pretty much ignored. I hate it when people downplay those crimes
