Dear Websleuthers, the name of the elderly American Lady who was raped by CB, is present in the PJfiles.

We know she’s in RM’s phone contact list, does her name appear somewhere else too?

I didn't realise that! That is very intriguing.
I think we questioned on a previous thread whether she could be a friend of his mother?

IMO the reason for the nickname "Diesel" in Germany, was that the untaxed van he was living in at an allotment had a fuel tank leak and according to a witness "was always leaking diesel onto the ground". IMO it was this leak which caused clothes to smell of diesel and hence the nickname IMO.
Hidden cellar discovered below garden reportedly owned by suspect in Maddie McCann hunt

As far as I know he was known as "Chris Diesel" by his friends in Algarve after he was jailed for petrol theft. In Germany he was known as "der Schrauber" (The screwdriver) because he used to smell like oil and petrol when he lived in Hanover-Linden.

Major thread cleanup was required.

Do not link to, post pictures or discuss any individual on this public thread unless it has been 100% determined to be one and the same person.

As always, private conversations can be engaged in where members can add up to 20 other members to the discussion. Just don't post the details on the public threads.

Very true!

IMO LE haven't asked about ID'ing accomplices because accomplices don't exist.
I think the media/Sun/ Tabloids whipped up the playground accomplice theory.
Sexta as 9 would have mentioned an "accomplice" at the playground if a second person had have been involved.

Yes you are correct the diesel nickname was in the algarve. The fuel thefts by CB+MT were IMO of diesel fuel variously reported as being from trucks or from a marina. If from a marina does it mean stealing diesel from trucks parked at a marina or from a storage tank at a marina? And which marina?

In the end we are still waiting for the prosecutor to show any cards (if he has them)

He obviously has them. Unless he is a masochist who wanted to make a fool of himself and destroy his career in front of the whole world.

I’m really between theories just now, but looking at possibilities, there is a possibility IMO that the reason they are not looking for accomplices (maybe not specifically for MM but other crimes) is that they have already identified them?

Could it be that while he may have taken MM for selfish personal gratification , other sexual crimes were committed and/or planned/discussed with others? We know he wasn’t secretive, that he liked to share given his public molestations, filming and photos. Why would this be only after the event? Could he be brazen enough to share and discuss prior to crimes?

This really does show the problems with relying on translated articles, doesn't it? Parts of it are dangerously muddled:

'Distraught and alone, Madeleine McCann’s adoptive mother suspects Christian Brueckner of being spotted for the first time since his son was linked to the boy’s disappearance' (?!)

Quite possibly - we know he discussed his fantasies online, so if he knew people locally with similar inclinations, it's quite plausible he would have talked of his plans.

Ambiguous headlines to trick people into clicking the article.

King or Tayto?! lol.
You were never unseen, Okapi. Someone always had their eye on you.
“A wee dote”. She was known to the locals, if she was known as a “dote”. It’s a very Derry/Donegal word, but usually only a word you would use if you knew the child or had been in contact with them at some stage.
Taytos always
