Don't the PJ have MM's DNA samples so if German LE needed to match they would have to ask the PJ for it so they can do analysis, I think the PJ would leak this news if the German LE asked for the DNA samples.
They may have found MM's pyjamas she went missing in the cars or house?

That could be the case, in fact!

But if it has been found in the campervan for example, it could just be a verdict but never a proven fact! The T3 Westfalia wasn't registered on CB in may 2007 maybe. He just used it by may 2007, right? Maybe he bought it later. It was lent to him to carry the radio station guys to spain, AFAIK. Every solicitor would tear that verdict apart. So it may need some more info, about it.

Very likely, that CB's movements across europe could be part of that business. Just imagine, the T3 Westfalia once has been the property of a guy like MS? In the known Video, he seems to live in a VW LT Camper.

I could imagine, CB's "entourage" is dealing with goosebumps and is talking, as if there would be no tomorrow.

Obviously, the strategy to keep quiet until there is holy water served as a longdrink in hell, spreaded intentionally over the media, does not work well....

So FF could already become a key to solve the case for good. Even for himself....

HCW's strategy seems to work well, IMO.;)

"[He] contacted “Team Grange” claiming he had information about the case as he was in nearby area when 3-year-old Madeleine disappeared from a hotel in Algarve Portugal in 2007."

Hard to believe we haven't heard about such a guy before. Perhaps what we're missing is this Greek connection. Some sleuthing needed.

Maybe Mendel! But these people across europe normally are just into trafficking business. And that has normally nothing to do with abductions. They make money with moving people to other countries. So i'm lack of fantasy, where the sleuthing should lead to, at the end.

IMO the interesting thing is a group of traffickers, maybe the drivers who are the weakest part of the food chain, that are interrogated about one or more abused and killed children, by doing that kind of business. As a trafficker, you won't make a lot money by abducting your payload?!

We all know, paedos got no respect between all criminals and no one of these cretins want to be connected to that kind of verdict. So they rather talk, than being kept as an accomplice.

Hard to think, CB has bragged around every other crooked persons he was dealing with in the past! But yes, his knowledge about transporting and hiding persons may have been a trigger for that horrible job that will change his life, he maybe planned to do.

That testimony, if true, is striking!

And even the trafficking-business could explain diesel-theft. Fuel is expensive, tolls from southern europe to germany not even mentioned!

MS was in Lamia Greece in October 2017 according to his FB check ins.
Witness was interviewed by OP Grange in Athens August 2017.
Can't believe MS would only be 49 now - Maybe severe sun damage

I actually can believe it o_O
As you say, Ted - severe sun damage, but I think with alcoholism thrown in. He looks like the street drinkers around here to me, they always look old before their time. In a lot/most of his photos he’s holding a can of beer.

MS may be 49 years old if he spent more than 30 years of addictions, jails, streets and lack of medical and dental care...
Some statements that previously seemed to be inventions of the press begin to seem more real to me...
I suddenly remembered this:
"He would steal lots of money, valuables and so many passports. In fact hundreds of passports"

Did i miss the link to see what MS looks like? Wondering about his age.

Doesn't his FB say his age?
Correction: Shark was already a step ahead!

Your scenario suggests a very cart-before-horse approach to conducting an investigation.

No offence intended, Superdad, just saying that an investigation that commenced with a media-triggering declaration that MM was dead and that CB was responsible for that death should not now, at this stage, be dependent upon any of the above.

Either they had sufficient evidence to back up their initial claim, or they didn't and were on a fishing exercise. If they're still doing the checking you suggest, it looks to me like they're still solidly on that fishing exercise.

But jmo.

Right.

I think we can rule out that they have forensics that tie CW to MM. If they had those, they would arrest and question him under caution. I mean that is fairly basic. The child has been missing for over a decade. Anything that places her in his possession is probable cause right there.

What still confuses me about this case is why a German prosecutor wants to walk into the media swamp of the MM case, on a cold case basis, for a crime not even committed in germany when he lacks evidence to charge.

Is he trying to make a name for himself? Does he think he is so close to cracking this? Because he clearly did it without a case he can go to trial on.

Which seems very risky to me, if he doesn't get the breakthrough he needs.

They don't need the samples themselves - just the profiles.

I don’t think the German prosecutor has any ulterior motive. There is a team of them working on this case who all believe with 99% certainty that MM is dead and CB is the culprit. I think the use of media was to collect extra info about CB, asking the public to come forward to help their case. I think they are really close to solving it and they just want to make the case air tight so they have asked the public for info. If this backfires on them, CB can sue them and they will tarnish their reputation.

Or:
Χέγκελαρ Μπ = Hegeler B. (?)
So B= first name and Hegeler is surname?

50 years old in 2017.

I don't know. It's a phonetic translation, right? I played Χέγκελαρ Μπ on Google Translate and it sounds like Hegelar B./ Hegel R. B. / Helge R. B. / I don't know, I hope it's not Holger or Brückner. Or a sneeze from the writer.
