I’ve always felt that the answers to this case could be somewhere in the pj files, and given the nature of this crime are likely in the sections of the file that we can’t access. We have no idea the level of CBs involvement, but given his interests and likely dodgy connections in the area, it’s likely he knows something that he could use. Some of this could be truth, while some knowledge maybe he can manipulate to cast doubt on others. So the evidence FF says he has might not be related to the parents. Remember how many rumours, sightings, theories there has been in this case?!

Whatever the truth is about this case, somewhere in the files amongst all the red herrings, alleged sightings, dodgy blokes hanging around etc, there is the truth.

Witnesses wouldn't necessarily have to have details of MM though would they?
Could the witnesses like NF just be providing times, dates etc and NM a witness to CB's behavior etc?
MT witness to CB's other criminal pursuits in order to get a 'picture'?
Or do LE mean 4 witnesses who actually know about MM?

I don't think so, Ted. Any witness counts as such and his ex-girlfriends are witnesses even if they know nothing about MM.

But how would they know it was not a pic or video that her parents have already published online?
How would they know it was MM on it without confirming it with her parents?

Remember they claimed this before they ever told anything to MM's parents.

That's what I find suspect too. They've also admitted they have no forensic evidence. 3 times now I'm aware of HCW has made the same statement on whether there is a video/pictures of MM. Cannot confirm or deny. Why not, given all the other things they've confirmed and denied along the same lines?

According to profiler Mark T. Hofmann, the contradictory statements of the prosecuters are likely made due to video evidence, without a BARD recognizable perp. Keeping trophies is usual, often by keeping the footage. Because of that, prosecuters can be convinced of the victims death.

It's hard to solve a case, that happened in another country 13 years ago. Because there is no body, parts of it, any other forensics or a confession, almost only witnesses can be the key. And finding them, is hard work that takes time.

I could be wrong but I don't think it's to do with parents either, also the British Press wouldn't publish it imo, they've had to apologise in the past regarding MC's and have published nothing negative since.
FF has been talking to The Sun so it looks as though they may have the scoop.
BUT it was interesting what he said about the "British" falling off their chairs, like only WE would have an interest in the info.
If it is the MC's surely it would have to be published in a German newspaper?
FF said it's an anonymous source and the info is "big" and it certainly surprised him. Surely it must be about CB or perhaps FF has 'found' a new 'perp'.

IIRC it was SY that requested the audition. It seems he was on files PJ claims to have delivered them in 2011 or 2012. A senior PJ official said they discarded him. No further info.

ETA: Ted gave contradictory information, so I'll have to check.

It was a tip off from someone who called in after the German equivalent of (Crimewatch) in which the MC's took part.

The BKA said it first received information linking Brueckner to Madeleine’s disappearance in 2013, following a television appeal by her parents.
