Can someone with access to the Daily Telegraph Firewall please share the article today which claims that British police interviewed CB ex British gf.

Will it work if I link or do I need to C&P all of it?

We were told he had dogs and he left them to die so it could be that? But it seems a bit of a power move to leave the USB under bones. I wonder if part of his motivation for buying the factory was to have an enclosed building in which to keep a pig!

OMG!!! That would make horrible sense:(

I’m gutted that I only caught the tail end of the programme, they did name 3 employees of ocean club ( I’m very curious is any or all of them knew CB or DS? ) I am desperate to watch whole programme but I can’t seem to find it on catch up anywhere, if anyone can help I’d appreciate it, it was called The Madeleine McCann Mystery and was on ID channel 168 (virgin media) between 8-10pm.
Was it the one with the Australian woman doing the voice overs?

That report about the Italian police arresting him under a ruse for something else is sticking in my head. The fact that they thought he was homeless - not the "playboy" image that's been described before, and holding a bible.
It could suggest a turnaround in his character and a possible confession?
Mind you, it also says that he's challenging the extradition to Germany.

Sounds also like he is becoming (or trying to look like or become) like Brian David Mitchell who kidnapped Elizabeth Smart from her bed as a child. He looked upkempt, lived in the woods and carried a bible.

Yes you could be right.

For a paedophile who prefers children to rape a 72 year old is unheard of. Their attraction is limited to children. So did he make the video of rape of elderly woman to order.

This isn't true. Just as some men or women nwho prefer the same sex can still be attracted to and have sex with the opposite sex.

Pedophiles may prefer a certain age range, but that doesn't mean they won't prey on other ages. If the urges are bad enough which it sounds like in his case they are, any victim will do, but finding a child would be the golden opportunity and a crime they would hold as a better memory than the others.

Most of the times this crimes have nothing to do with sex in the first place. Rapists, murderers, psychopaths (he is clearly one) are driven by wanting to hurt other people..."own" them, subdue them....

His need to control the narrative - and for control in general - appears to be why he tripped himself up. It was all too quiet. But now that they want him to talk, I anticipate he won’t say a word.

The ultimate power....everything focussed on him.

The Smith family do not recognise CB as the man carrying a child towards the beach that night in 2007.

Madeleine McCann case: Key Irish witness in investigation 'doesn't recognise' new suspect
I suspected that, they said he had brown hair and was shorter from memory.

I personally don't believe this sighting was the abductor though. If you look at the location it doesn't make sense for someone to walk down that way, it's far too risky. There's plenty of discreet places to park a vehicle closer to the conplex.

I have some sympathy for them in that they clearly weren't set up to deal with a case like this, but with all that is coming out now, I'm inclined to agree. Especially if the JC case does turn out to be linked.

So this could be fear talking. If it turns out he was under their noses all along it doesn’t look good.

Yes, just look at the Joseph McCann case.

Personally I don't think anybody carried Madeleine to the beach anyway...It was probably another loving dad who stayed out a little longer and his daughter fell asleep. Like so, so many loving parents letting loose a bit on bedtime rules when on a holliday. Why would somebody with bad intentions take a risk like that...

I can’t find the source now - read so much in the last few days - but I definitely recall the bones found being those of a dog. The article specifically mentioned the breed, and it stuck with me because I didn’t know you could identify a breed of dog from its remains.
