Ah ok, I was going from memory of CT statement, lazy reading I guess. Several people have mentioned the big eyes, but as the sighting was on 3rd May, this seems fairly ominous imo, unless it is a OC staff. One of the difficulties 13 yrs on is he looks different now, decade Extra of drink, drugs and running from the law has caught up....
Some of those apt.are privately owned ,it could have been people looking at their property , people viewing it etc. Rather than ominous I would call it coincidence .

Based on this I’m thinking in through the front bedroom window, out through the back patio doors. Makes sense as you are in the street checking coast is clear to break in, then with the elevated view at the back easier to avoid any tapas checks. Out the sliding patio doors is easiest exit carrying a child. Also fits in with initial sniffer dogs if vehicle parked at the back by the lamp post. With CBs experience this really wouldn’t take long at all :(

That was my impression too, by including the cadaver dog traced spots. In through the "garden" via patio doors, possibly hiding in the parents closet maybe, out through the front door. All of that by avoiding a noisy metal gate.

That’s possible I guess but I feel would be a huge coincidence given as on same day as MM disappearance.
Also from CT statement...

“he closed it with both his hands, many times, closing it in silence and cautiously with both hands”

and...

“And after he cautiously and slowly pushed it”

Doesn’t to me sound like some owner doing a regular check..IMO.

I tend to agree with you. The number of allegedly 'suspicious looking' (pock-marked, swarthy, big nosed, big eyed, big eared, short-haired, wild-haired) people allegedly prowling about with 'intent' in such a small area seems unlikely.

I do wonder how much the 'frisson' of MM's disappearance informed and impacted upon people's memories.

Gate-closing-man seen by CT on afternoon 3rd May was "wearing a blue-grey T-shirt, it was not dark blue, more of a pallid colour ... a type of blue, with short sleeves".

Wouldn't the gate be the way to the open patio doors? I'm a little unclear on the exterior. If so and he was checking closing it quietly could that suggest knowledge of the patio doors being open?

IMO just a quick unseen jump over a small wall, even having the tapas bar in view....

I 100% agree

I've wondered how much of it had to do with people from the burbs adjusting to a higher density apartment block?

I live in high density in a big city and there are routinely odd looking people around.

Some are vagrants. But many are visitors, tradesmen or residents

There is no way I can know all of the several hundred people who live in the dozens of apartments close to me.

Normally I would forget strangers quickly unless you ask me within 24-48 hours

Having considered HCWs apparent disinterest in new info I am wondering about two possibilities

1. He is trying to create media pressure on a person or persons located in the UK

2. He is trying to create political pressure

Not sure 100% where I am going with this!

On afternoon 3rd May which gate did gate-man come out of? After studying all 53 phrases containing the word "gate" in CT's statement, such as
"he left from here, the first gate you reach",
The answer IMO is:
Definitely not 5A.
Most probably 5B.
Less probably 5C.
IMO.

I agree with your thoughts. Even german tabloids are referring to english speaking press.

IMO, creating pressure is the key to that strategy.

So....HCW may know about english speaking people with knowledge. Either an accomplice what doesn't fit his statement that they are investigating just CB, or the key lies even in the tapas group, as GA assumed since many years.

It is a big hurdle to be part of a murder. But the hurdle isn't that big, being part of a burglary. It has been the first visit to portugal for the MC's, who shouldn't have been beggars so far? For how long did the tapas group knew each other and has anybody of them been in PDL before?

And the reported "horrible job" statement, if true, is still in my mind.

IMO that isn't a brexit-thing.

Yes climbing over that wall would bypass the street-gate, but would not bypass the stair-gate.

The cadaver dog identified a trace near a flower bed in front of tbe wall, leading to the parent's room. Any problem for a sophisticated climber...?

Normally, I wouldn't recall anything at all unless it impacted me directly in some way or another.

You just don't.

To climb up or down the wall where the flowerbed was alerted? There was a big climbing plant growing there. But yes IMO it is possible.

IMO hat would imply, that the cadaver smell had been brought into 5A maybe, without connection to MM....

Agreed its no brexit thing

I wondered about tapas as well

But where does that take us?

Could it be the quote 'if you know what I know' was addressed to the tapas group?
