does anyone know why CB injured his arm? I think he had it bandaged in 3/30/2007 ? and how he injured his jaw and when?I did a search but nothing comes up, but I remember that it was mentioned by some WS members in thread #18 a bit. any idea?

Too high risk imo...if CB took MM out of 5A he was clever enough I think to not leave a trace of his presence...if he took possessions out of there and he was found with them or selling them...would have been a clear sign he was connected to 5A events somehow or other...
Taking belongings would have helped police investigation...something else to link him...CB wouldn't have wanted that.

Not only that but also if CB (or any other kidnapper for that matter) were to take stuff from the apartment (beside MM) that would exclude right away many other options like the GA "theory" or some "ideas" like MM exiting to the outside of the apartment by herself, etc...
MM kidnapper could have enterer the room to search for goods to steal and decided to take MM instead as motivation might have turned intro sexual making the way to operate "different" from a "regular burglary". Also the kidnaper might have decided to get MM and exited the apartment returning later/on the next day. If MM was taken by a sexual abuser most likely the abuser would want to dispose of her later not to be linked to the crime and with her he would had to dispose of all goods/belongings so stealing material stuff would be pointless as soon as he decided to get MM.

i think this case involves many people connected to human smuggling, fraud and trafficking and other crimes. it’s just the tip of the iceberg and CB is just the active pawn. MM’s mother was right. If you read KM’s book you feel she knows more than she says and had noticed even CB himself watching her daughter. she has a mother’s 6th sense and she was right all along.

For me HCW does have new info that even if it's not forensic neither direct evidences or witness that new info could be related to actions or attitudes of CB even over other matters that make him even more "suspicious" of having something to do with MM crime.

Yes...indeed …if a perp only takes the child ( and not belongings also ) , they are probably devious enough to know that they can then hide behind the mystery and ambiguity…knowing that people might speculate that something more innocent occurred.

Although ..leaving the windows open is a bit of a giveaway of an intruder..perhaps wasn’t part of plan originally …a hurried exit...or just brazenly didn’t care about leaving such a sign ..?

This is a super curious press hit.

The "concrete evidence" is not really different to previous statements.

HCW says he has received new evidence but still only hopes to charge in the future - so why do this media hit? Charge when you are ready to charge? But instead we have these multiple press hits trailing the idea of charging in the future, the last of which was walked back

I really don't understand the purpose of these hits

Possibly the Sun harassed him for a new statement, given that it was MM's birthday & they were planning to run an article.

My theory based on observing the apartment and the environs is that the opened window was NOT to get in or out but A - let in natural light into the room to avoid switching on the lights. (Btw - 5a parking lot used to be lined with trees, now cut down) B - be able to listen to somebody approaching the apartment from the front or hanging out in the parking lot, like the neighbours.

What continues to intrigue me is why he is running UK media hits when the criminal and his associates are german, and the crime was committed in portugal.

This drip drip would indicate to me he is trying to pressure someone who would be following the UK media.
