A number of people supposedly according to an unnamed source would be willing to provide an alibi to CB...

And the source (i would imagine FF?!) goes on

“Officers in the Algarve have long believed German cops are trying to pin this case on the wrong person,” the source added.

“Detectives in Praia da Luz ruled him out years and years ago - not least because his story about where he was and what he was doing checked out.”

But didn't PJ knock on his door and he was not there?! Or they even said he was never on their radar?!

Getting a bit ridiculous now, just wish these documentaries would air sooner rather than later to put the tabloid speculation and their interpretations of what was found to rest. Each day a new story contradicting the one from the day before. Or sometimes even the headline contradicting the article itself.

You've got HCW saying they have enough to charge over MM, and in their investigations have found "nothing" to clear CB of guilt. Yet he apparently has an army of witnesses lining up to give him alibis... where have they been for the last 20 months, under a rock? I somehow doubt the reality is anything close to what the tabs are making out.

Yes, definitely, and I've checked the channel 5 schedule,. Nothing on about it in January, strange,. Maybe they are waiting for the German documentary to air first, to see what's said on that,. Just a thought

Strange how the brit media is now casting doubt, back in 2020 they were all over CB as the guilty one.

When the 'Live Blogging' awards come round, I'll be beyond astonished if the Sun's MM one doesn't win in all the crucial 'News Delivery', 'Truth' and 'Intrepid Journalism At Its Best And Above and Beyond the Call of Duty' categories.

You asked earlier who Lorraine Kelly is. There was a time when she was a reasonably competent daytime tv presenter but, over time, she's morphed into someone who'd interview a newly released serial killer, nod her head sympathetically in an 'Ach, I know, things can get out of hand' after he'd told her about how he just couldn't stop, and then ask, so as to not end the interview on a negative note, what his favourite colour was.

Agreed, unless it could be others that need an alibi too ? Maybe to far fetched ?

The VOX docu was possibly rushed for two reasons: 1) to scrap its bones programme and raise their viewings, 2) to get ahead of the SAT1 docu.
Has a few of his former friends talking, BR especially, a Lenta J. and a Karin S.
Could be interesting, if so to see more of his entourage...
It also mentions more of his chathistory and that at some time (when was BR friends with him is this 2013-2015?) Police went to BR's flat knocking at his door at 9 am (I think he finds this extremely early like it were 5am) with a search warrant and searching his flat for CB's child sex abuse videos/images. Were they staying together? If so when and where? Is BR the same who appeared in another docu saying CB had showed him the 2013 subpoena for MM's case?

IMO HCW/BKA have floated this case into the media machine as a part of their strategy. Ramp up the pressure & push for the final pieces of information required.

I think commentary & documentaries questioning their investigation is inevitable. The longer they let this linger the more they face these types of headlines & documentaries.

The last high profile case they handled was the VW emissions case. They made a very similar play. They left the door wide open & waited for the pieces to fall into place. I do think they’ve managed to create a complete pathway to an arrest. I think this new German Documentary will be very reflective & in agreement with the BKA’s case. I think it’ll create headlines, turn heads & ramp up the pressure on CB. I think HCW/BKA may view this documentary as a tool

Agree. They’re probably filling gaps in the evidence in advance of his formal interview and reminding all relevant witnesses of the sequence of events of 2-4 May.

If he was home, we might expect to see computer use or the phone not moving.

But if he was out wandering around a 2km area, what exactly was he doing? Why (and for how long) did no-one see him? (Difficult questions for everyone to answer 15y later.)

• After a burglary to the villa in 2005, the homeowner asked her to go inside. Also, Maclean said that in May 2006 she and her daughter entered the filthy home where he lived - a year before Madeleine vanished. So I wonder what door they knocked !!
