I think in the case of the Sun and the multiple alibis, the source must be someone from the environment of CB's defence lawyers, or even FF himself.

It doesn't really matter.

The sourcing is so vague as to be totally unreliable.

that's v interesting. also what is interesting is the sentences before the last one - "Sie sprechen von einer Vielzahl an Beweisen und Indizien. Welche wird die Öffentlichkeit wohl bald erfahren." They [BKA] speak about a multitude of evidence/proof and indications/clues. Which ones the public will soon find out"

Note on Indiz: how do you translate Indiz?- is this circumstantial evidence or just indications? I searched a little bit about how the word Indiz is used in legal contexts: "Umstand, der mit Wahrscheinlichkeit auf einen bestimmten Sachverhalt, vor allem auf die Täterschaft einer bestimmten Person schließen lässt; be- oder entlastender Umstand. z.B. ein ausreichendes Indiz" would it be better to translate it thus as clues? something leading one to believe a person is the perpetrator?

Indiz = clue

Because of it's last sentence.

"Die Anklageerhebung steht kurz bevor."

Means that the indictment is imminant. We'll see...:)
Reports back in 2014 prior to OG travelling to Luz had imminent arrest's, only there wasn't.

Noted but then there was no public appeal with one specified suspect

According to Euronews, the allotment-raid in hannover may have brought up more incriminating material.

"In the suspect's allotment near Hannover, where Maddie's body was suspected, the police apparently found memory sticks with child pornographic material."

It could explain the numbers from 8.000 files up to the 20.000 files, JC referred to.

so was he in the habit of burying sticks??

they expected MM's body to be there? that's strange... (it appears also in articles at the time they searched it...)

Media makes up a lot of things. I would say, that the prosecutors were expecting to find any kind of incriminating material in a case, that is able to bring much more up to the surface than just the whereabout of the poor little missing girl.

I think it was the men that robbed apartment s,. As when phone logs was checked it linked these men to being in the area at the time, I'm sure you would easy find it if you google it

Yes, and no information was realised about it

I know and strangely or otherwise, CB was a robber too yet neither appeared to tread on each others toes.

It seems highly doubtful they would have expected her to be there.

He didn't even have the allotment at the time she went missing.

You are right, that's my assumption as well!

I think the speculation about them looking for a body came mainly from the Press at the time. HCW played it all down shortly afterwards.

The prosecutor described as "speculative" a recent two-day dig at Christian B's former home outside Hanover, saying: "We are checking everywhere he lived and we know from his past that he liked to bury things like the USB computer sticks that were found in a previous investigation.

"I can't tell you what we found."

They searched the nearby river using divers! For 10 year old hardware?

Imo the allotment raid in Hannover was based on another clue of a possible crime. Maybe (!!!) Monika P.!

It would fit the timeline. Hannover from 2010 and MM snatched in 2007 seems very unlikely to me, because shortly after the disappearance, he seemed to have enjoyed his Winnebago-Life in southern europe imo.

I'm not sure they actually did search the river at all. There was a lot of speculative comments made on The Sun 'live' blog back when that search was going on and I remember the comment about the divers being 'spotted'. But looking back on it, there's no proof that it had anything to do with the Hannover allotment search (or that it even happened). It was miles away from the dig site in Seelze where some unnamed locals allegedly spotted some divers on the river. That's it! The Sun never bothered to explain how it is they "believed" they were connected to the dig. As far as I recall The Sun were the only paper that reported on it.

Divers were also spotted by locals trawling the River Leine in the nearby town of Seelze in a search believed to be linked to the investigation.

And not long after that didn't they say she died in Portugal

According to the VOX documentary and BR's statement, CB has been on the scene in 2016, whilst the area at Neuwegersleben has been raided by the police and watched it from a hiding place! CB told this to BR!

  • #239
And CB is said to have kept pornographic material of little boys on his computer as well.

Now my (!) following assumption.

This could be the link to CMK and boystown. And probably to MN???

  • #240
According to the documentary CB hasn't been robbed in Milano, but just lost his ID, so the prosecutors could catch him. But he is said to have lived a bum-life!

No documents, not a shower for days or weeks, but a mobile phone and a knife. He showed big relief about the drug warrant, and not because of other crimes, he was arrested for!

ETA: These infos are made by witnesses in person, like italian policemen!
