So he admits to selling drugs? But so as not to be caught selling drugs he kept a low profile by not stealing people?! And slaughtering a chicken is absurd?! This is what he compares abducting a child with?

But he was busted for selling drugs. All I can is there is a lot to the whole story, and so many people no stuff about him,. Even if we do get mixed up information

If only PJ had cross-referenced contract workers with sex crimes with Luz telephone records, CB would have come into focus.

(If only TdS had reported the missing keys..

If only PJ had shown pics to the eye witnesses TS or CT...)

If only the PJ had linked sex offenders with everyone who worked at OC..
and then showed pics to the two witnesses... instead of obsessing with her parents. This vile creature could have been caught earlier and some kids spared the horrendous abuse they could have come under him.

He was not busted for selling drugs back in 2007 in the algavre.

I think a lot of ppl have talked. The BKA have collected a lot of circumstantial evidence...

Who is his british ex-gf to whom the night before MM's disappearance he had said 'I have a horrible job to do in PdL'?

Could be though that the Tiffin Allegro was stored at a camping site there. Perhaps he’d bought it there but had to leave it because he’d driven there. He’d have to get a lift or public transport to collect.

He could have just driven to Tomar from Foral that day in the Allegro, for whatever reason.

He didn't work at OC though.

If this stuff is actually true, it demonstrates how hard this is for police forces when they have little to go on - IMO. Even if you can develop a list of every contracting company that touched on OC in recent years, and everyone who worked for them, and then who had records ... then what?

This is why Law Enforcement loves CCTV so much - but PdL had so little of it.

"Portugal decriminalised the use of all drugs in 2001. Weed, cocaine, heroin, you name it — Portugal decided to treat possession and use of small quantities of these drugs as a public health issue, not a criminal one. The drugs were still illegal, of course. But now getting caught with them meant a small fine and maybe a referral to a treatment program — not jail time and a criminal record."

I guess PJ weren't bothered with these crimes, they only went after the big fish IMO.

That might be why CB saw dealing as a 'non crime'.

I wonder how much the British computer system (Holmes) helped to identify CB.

The British review focused in on the burglaries and linked the phone call made in Luz by CB to an OC employee.

This is the capability that the Brits have and the PJ were too stupid & arrogant to request full assistance.

Oh come on now. How many contract workers there could have been? If they had done their job properly, his name would have popped up. Both because he was already a known child sex offender (there is no denying that!) And living in the proximity of OC and because he sometimes worked in the OC. they missed him and there is no excuse anymore...jmo

Well but with a stash of 50kg that wouldn't count as possession surely?

DF: Brueckner told me again: “I have 50kg of grass, and I transport it around Europe.” I thought he was joking at the time. He said: “In my van, I can take 50kg of grass, nobody can see it.”

Well, according to Amaral CB was investigated thoroughly in 2007. :D

CB must have had such fast growing hair that he had managed to grow dreadlocks in 2 months, after being video'd in Spain in March 2007 with very short hair!
He also got that van decorated too, according to Amaral.

******* Joke!

He had it though a month before in foral, if we are to believe DF, right? Was he supposedly going back and forth to Tomar ? Possibly, but where did he meet with his british ex-gf the night before?

PJ’s first task was to rule out every paedophile in the area. They knocked on his door & as far as we know left it there despite his phone being in the mast area.

If PJ tracked him down, his alibi would be recorded. Instead we’re relying on NF’s memory 15y later.

As everyone knows I don't believe there is any video.

I think what is happening is basic police work.

They got the tip on CB, which fits with one of the main theories of the case - the burglar theory.

The more they looked at him, the more they have found circumstantial evidence. Accomplices who confirm he is a burglar, modus operandi. potentially stolen SIM card from OC. Inside help.

Then the rape case gave them a similar breaking/entering - plus the violence.

CB put himself in the frame with his careless talk and writings.

I do wonder though, without the body what specifically can link him to murder?
