The (versions of!) the statements online are not to be wholly trusted. Mark Harrison wrote, simply, about the deployment of Grime and his dogs that two dogs were deployed. The (version of) Harrisons's report online now reads Police dogs.

The insertion of the word Police is a (comparatively recent) online courruption and nothing to do with Mark Harrison.
Has Fiona ever denied that she said this? to my knowledge she hasnt. I can understand why some people wouldnt want to believe she said that though.

The version of Mrs Gaspar's statement is, I think, conclusively proven to have been faked.

But no one has ever commented.

Do you have a link to where it was proven conclusively to have been faked?

I doubt I will be able to find it now, but there was a comment in an FOI reply that the writer of the reply said that he/she was aware of the statement online (sic) attributed to Mrs Gaspar, as distinct from Mrs Gaspar's statement.

Hmm that doesnt prove conclusively it was fake IMO

I think it does. Why would the writer have said "attributed to" when s/he could have said "Mrs Gaspar's statement?

For a long time, the thumb nail original for that statement was not available. Then, out of the blue, it suddenly appeared.

For me it doesnt prove anything conclusively sorry but people will have their own opinion ;)

100% . Yes any witnesses who positively ID'd CB would have to have been interviewed prior to the public appeal to be admissible evidence. I think the appeal was possibly to see if anymore victims would come forward to corroberate CB mo. Bottom line being a 6ft
Northern European who breaks into properties , tortures, rapes and films his attacks wearing a mask . HCW - There are parallels between the HB, DM and MM case. We know all the details from DM and HB because they were located and have reported the details to the police , so whatever HCW has regarding MM to link the 3 must be highly significant imo.

One thing from Germany is that convictions for murders with out bodies are extremely rare according to wiki.

No one has ever seen the originals which would have been in English..we have Harrison and Grimes original English statements but not the Gaspars

I don't suppose it will feature in any future CB trial

At least some of us would hope that the culmination of all this will have consequences, not just for Brueckner.

That is a point I had missed, but you are right. In all the other statements, there are thumbnail boxes to the left of the main text you can click on to enlarge and small passages of the main text comes up, always written in English.

Those thumbnail boxes to the left, for a long while, were absent completely from the Gapar statements, or certainly from Katriana Gaspar's statement. Then, miraculously and without explanation, they appeared. Written, as you quite rightly say, in Portuguese:

Here is an example.

Still more odd that Kariana's husband said, in his statement, that he 'had always trusted Dave', while his wife said, well, what she said ....

why is that odd? not everyone trusts the same people and some people see things differently to others. Thats life. I personally have no reasons to disbelieve that she felt uncomfortable .

I once worked with a man who made me very uncomfortable. None of my male workmates could understand why, but it turned out that other women had the same reaction.

Do either Mrs Gaspar statement I wrong or Gerry was openly discussing the abuse of his daughter by Payne..think about it

I don't see it as quite so cut and dried. Something was seen and heard which made one woman feel uncomfortable about one man; not two. That's all.
