I find it difficult to believe that anyone other than the State (via Legal Aid) is paying. If anyone was contributing that could affect his legal aid entitlement.

Re the search of the reservoir, last throw of the dice by the Germans,? clearly they can't advance the case with out a body.

Perhaps they are acting on information received from the same source used by lawyer MAC when he paid for divers to conduct a search.

It says in the DM article that the place was known as his ‘little paradise’. This is the type of info they were looking for when they re interviewed MT. I would say MT or HB.

But right now there are no charges against CB, as far as we know. Maybe we should just all agree we now nowt about what's gone on and is going on really. And await developments.

My opinion is that there are shady characters involved from start to finish of what happened to MM and that is one of the reasons for German prosecutors sitting on early charges.

I think it is intel (SY did mention one last avenue of inquiry), information from witnesses and good, solid investigative policing skills.
All mixed with never giving up until every avenue of inquiry has been exhausted.

True. BP is another possibility.

I do think about JC’s mysterious mention of a paedophile ring in the area (around the Villa Blanca house, was it?).

And the underworld/gang who told MC - suggests an operation bigger than CB alone.

Never say never, Richard. Anything could happen in this case (imo)

Feels like it somehow, 6 yrs of investigation, 3 yrs as prime suspect, imo not enough to charge ,If there's nothing there like OG didn't find before in their searches ,then what next?

I think now is not the better time to search Barragem do Arade.
