Three years ago it was said there was concrete evidence CB took and killed Madeleine, they are now looking for it.

There has been a progression over the pat three years.

From us never having heard of CB

through to us hearing there was circumstantial evidence/no forensics

from having evidence but not enough

to discussion of the terminology "concrete"

still seeking public help

and getting it

having enough evidence to lay charges against the suspect for the murder of MM

in no rush to do so while there could still be information of use to be gathered.

My opinion: three years years isn't a long time for an investigation particularly one which has lasted for sixteen and one in which they are still cooperatively working and one in which investigators are still gathering evidence.
For example the huge operation unfolding in front of us at the dam.

Interesting aside about “My little paradise,” which has been reported in a lot of media outlets with the suggestion of an unsavoury association for CB.

According to this tourist website, it is actually a local nickname for the dam.

I believe there is an account in the files that the GA investigation sent off to M&S in England for matching pyjamas.

KM elevated the pyjamas thus procured at a press conference to publicise MM's disappearance.

I don't know what police information was gathered re batch numbers etc;

You might be in no rush but HCW's superiors might be. We shall see!

The PJ did get similar pyjamas from M & S. They were sent to be compared with any fibres collected in 5A, but none were.

For the likes of me, refreshing myself with this investigation after a couple of years, here’s a recap on the timeline right up to date:

If they have photos of him at this spot, I wonder if “evidence of his activities” could mean both recreational and criminal activities. Swimming, fishing, filming.

I also wonder if besides the suggestion of MM’s pjs and rags, there could be other stuff potentially sought. Many moons ago, we were discussing the children’s swimsuits at his old place, for example.

I find the mention of rugs very very specific... I wonder if they have Intel that CB covered a dead body in a rug and buried it... or if they have other Intel that perhaps the rug could have MM's DNA on it...

Perhaps LE have gone old school and beaten and tortured CB until he confessed?? We will never know.

Just seems all too odd to me that arguably one of the most famous cases in the world “suddenly” someone from the underworld has spoken up. Even weirder that this person provided evidence to support their tip.

It does seem like they have very specific detail & they’re not large regions. IMO you’re spot on. If they find rags they’ll look for remains around or underneath them. Watching the live footage - several of the searchers have they’ve been focussed on one area for several hours now - moving branches, coming the earth & digging. Seems very specific
