I think that's because he clearly states what evidence he hasn't got, but is rather coy over what evidence he does have.
He could of course be deliberately misleading us .
Coy or simply not laying all his cards on the table? I’m not sure that any prosecutor or police force reveals its entire hand before a case comes to court.

One thing that strikes me as odd is that people don’t believe HCW when he says he has concrete evidence but believe him when he says what evidence he doesn’t have. How do they know he isn’t lying on both counts? That will put your head in a spin - lol!
Such a good point, I find it bizarre that some cherry-pick which of his comments they’d like to believe. Some don’t believe most statements he makes about the strength of the evidence but (in some cases) seem to have contradicted themselves by fully accepting his recent comment about the possible long timescale of the case. Interestingly they use the latter to make the almost identical argument they do while using the former. ‘HE doesn’t have the evidence because………………….’ JMO

Of course. There is a kind of possibility that CB learned earlier before, how to "destroy" evidence, or most of the evidence, successfully!

Pigs are able to crush and digest bone, of course. But teeth should leave their system more likely, than bone ???
The girl would have had milk teeth, would these be then softer than adult teeth and easily crushed into small fragments.
If we're going down the disposal route why not a hotel rubbish skip tipped at the municipal landfill.Ch4 dispatches in 2007 highlighted these.

Talking of the timescale he didn't seem to factor in the cases awaiting trial are they completely off the books?

And which is the relationship to MM's case? Is it evidence?
Lilly is responding to my response to Denis, on the subject of CB’s girlfriends. CB is the suspect ergo we can discuss his life and girlfriends. But not his dogs ;-)

To move our discussion a little bit more back into the direction of the recent investigations. No offence against anybody!

I'm still confused about the patterns of the excavations, that have been made at arade reservoir. Especially the larger trenches seem to be interesting, as they are located around the center of an area, that might have been frequented by humans in the past.

I'm still aware of the reported statement, CB made to Lenta J.

"Pigs do eat human flesh!"

Some of my recent investigations into reports of campers at the algarve brought to light, that wild boars are known for frequenting the area around arade reservoir as well.

And the areas, constantly frequented by campers should be very interesting for these kind of animals, according to rests of food, empty food packings etc..

They do eat human flesh, of course. But there are some things, that they won't be able of digesting in a short period of time.

So my question is, were they looking for teeth or traces of teeth, maybe by excavating larger areas who seem to be places, wild animals use to excrete their excrements? They should be able of extracting DNA from fragments of teeth, aren't they?

Just a thought.....
Yes. I posted some links upthread Superdad, about how boar are increasing somewhat problematically in the Algarve.

The media footage after the Arade searches indicated evidence of regular camping in the search vicinity, unlikely to be unique to CB.

Wild pigs are indeed known to investigate campsites/tents seeking food. I know that when I camped in east Africa, we couldn’t have even toothpaste in our tents, and it was specifically the bush pigs, not the lions etc, that were campsite scavengers.

So if camping was fairly regular in this nice boar habitat (well wooded/sheltered from predators, sun and humans and with fresh water nearby for drinking and mud wallowing), I imagine pigs would be encountered at times.

The European boar farrows in Spring, during which time females seek out dense scrub thickets to birth their young. They bed down in a hidden, sheltered ‘nest’ within 2km of a water source.

Incidentally, pigs never defecate in their sleeping shelters or eating areas. They leave their bedding area and travel elsewhere to answer the call of nature. So any remains would likely be dispersed well away from were they were consumed.

just a follow up.

The Level of Strength

For starters, adult teeth are stronger than milk teeth. Permanent teeth usually have a thick layer of enamel, which makes them less prone to dental issues such as cavities and tooth decay. Children have softer teeth with thinner enamel. Consequently, their teeth are highly susceptible to damage by bacteria, which can cause cavities and tooth decay.

Pigs and teeth...the level of discussion here. Far from that but when another summer is coming with nothing relevant on the horizon.

Ah, and I have no doubt they’ve been discussed on previous threads :) While we wait.

Lying through his teeth too. And pigs will fly when a truthful word comes out of his mouth.

There doesn't seem to be an article with the headline.
There is an article but you have to register before you can read it. Is it worth it I ask myself as it'll contain nothing we don't already know.

As Janosch pointed out, we'd sussed that out, the headline that is.

Making this my last post unless there are any actual developments, just because I feel it significantly misrepresents my position (if it was aimed at me)

I have no idea what evidence HCW has, but agree the institution has to be given the benefit of the doubt.

Where I disagree with most posters, is that 'concrete evidence' means he definitely has evidence like a photo. It can easily mean he simply has the testimony of witnesses.

IMO the failure to prosecute, and expanding timescales, based on the prosecutor's own estimates, don't suggest a strong case. Rather obviously.

Of course you can come up with elaborate strategies for why it takes so long but in my highly overvalued opinion that is not how prosecutors work. They prosecute their best cases on the biggest charges, as soon as they reasonable can.

Hopefully HCW will now hall of fame this as a dumb post by dropping charges today!
