Book of GA.

"On 17 September 2018, the German laboratory produces a report with the final results. Only on the two sheets were traces found that could be examined for DNA, namely 16 human hairs. Of these, DNA profiles could only be identified on two. One of the hairs belonged to the victim, the other had roots and was identified as belonging to CB"
Thanks very much, Janosch. So the PJ kept the sheets which they sent to Germany, or they just sent the hairs which they had kept since 2005. How fortunate that one of them was an exact match to CB!

How were these tapes viewed ? Presumably on the camera itself as a home cinema would be unlikely.
So if the tapes were thrown away/destroyed, its likely that the camera was disposed of at the same time.
If so, CB couldn't have had it after he left prison in 2006/7, so no video of MM
IMO

But maybe he has stolen more after he left prison, don't know.

Maybe , but is it likely that he could come across another video recorder to steal in the time period ?

In a holiday resort? I would hazard a yes :-)

In that era my partner lugged a camcorder everywhere.

Connect them up to a tv via scart at the time, it's how we watched videos of our children.

Did portable cameras have that facility?
Yes, mine did at least. There was a cable with three coloured pins, Red,Yellow and white, connect to corresponding on the camera and also either direct to the tv or the scart adaptor. As for getting them on to the web, is anybody's guess. But I'd venture they are not on the dark side, the only mention was of seeing the assault on tape and it and or camera destroyed, so all in all the dark side is moot imo.

They were quite lumpy, palm size was for rich kids.
Just looked according to wiki, sd card recording on camcorders only came in, in 2006 so what ever was recorded prior was on tape.

This conviction relates to:

“The prime suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann was jailed for sexually abusing the five-year-old daughter of a former girlfriend”

Your statement was:

I think CB's conviction for the possession of images of the type for which he merited that criminal conviction rather negates too much wondering about his motivation.”

CB has convictions for sexual abuse and rape, it’s a fact that he has sexual motives for crimes.

However, we were discussing his motives for videoing his crimes. Your statement is incorrect because CB has no convictions for the possessions of images. His motivation for videoing his crimes is uncertain but I still think, they were for his personal use as we have no confirmation that he ever shared any images or footage.

Thank you for your reply to my post, Denis.

In which I replied to the stand alone question you asked of me in yours,

Which was, “Please provide a source for CB’s criminal conviction for the possession of illegal images.”

The information you required was duly passed back to you as being part of the criminal abuse of a minor which included illegal photographic images and including which if memory serves me well, CB’s depraved image during the sexual assault.

The images he recorded for posterity along with his own, were of a little girl who was only six years old. I really have no interest in discussing the motives of sexual perverts and have replied to your post with a source detailing his conviction. I think you must agree.

As regards the rapes CB seems to video all of them. If he did take and abuse maddie its likely a video exist...or existed
If it exists, it’s worth a fortune. It costs €10k to stream Daisy’s Destruction.

As I understand...Portugal does not have a dna data base
They most certainly did not have one at the time the forensics in the DM rape were harvested'

The Portuguese DNA database was established in 2008 and is one of the smallest DNA databases in the EU. Portugal has one of the most restrictive regulatory frameworks in the EU in relation to the criteria for the entry and deletion of DNA profiles. The country started connecting with the Prüm system’s genetic data exchange in 2015. In terms of bordering practices, Portugal serves as an example of latent rebordering dynamics. This is because the requirements of the EU regulations regarding Prüm have been fully implemented in Portugal in terms of techno-scientific and operational infrastructures, yet Portugal simultaneously severely restricts access to biometric data. This situation derives from particularities of Portugal’s national policy regulations on data protection and its judicial traditions as well as regulations on ethical oversight.

I don't think fortune comes into the equation. The science determines whose DNA it is.

Your speculation is probably spot on. But it will take evidence to determine what may or may not happen from hereon in.

 The thread seems to be turning into an episode of Brass Eye.

(far, far better to think no such video could ever exist because - as it becoming more and more apparent imo with every passing day - the theory of the German authorities is just wrong)

I had one which was perfectly balanced when sitting on my shoulder. It took a large VHS tape. So once the initial expense of the camera was out of the way, materials and running costs were miniscule. They were very popular and loads of people had one. As they got smaller with smaller cassettes I imagine they would be very easy to steal.

The judges will determine the rights and wrongs of the situation - once they are granted the opportunity.

We shall see, Mex. I wouldn't be putting more than 50p on it happening though (Jmo)

How much, only gamble with that which you can afford to lose.
