What isn't a matter for debate or conjecture is that MM's parents claimed on the approach to the third anniversary of her disappearance that no-one was looking for her.

That information must have been of unmeasurable importance to a perpetrator who now knew much of what the police knew and investigative actions taken.

4 August 2008 The Portuguese police file on the disappearance is made public. It shows that days before the McCanns were formally named as suspects, a British scientist had warned that tests on DNA recovered from the family's hire car were inconclusive. It also shows that during a subsequent interview with Portuguese police, Kate McCann refused to answer 48 questions about her daughter, apparently fearing they were intended to implicate her in the girl's disappearance.

In my post I have attempted to divert the discussion back from where it had meandered to by making reference to the information freely made available to a perpetrator.

In this instance to the prime suspect who is CB.

It must be a bit of a unique occurrence for information from police files about a missing child case only months old, to be published almost in their entirety on the internet which might have had a significant impact on the case then and now.

For those unfamiliar with the debrief see link below, the link to CB I hear you ask, HB claims he contacted SY in 2008, did they then pass it on, one of their officers was in Luz so it's inconceivable that SY wouldn't have known about LP involvement, up to sixty at one stage.

I'd venture it could be circumvented if HCW can show CB actually killed Madeleine, as mentioned by others the thorny issue of how MM was spirited out of 5a wouldn't come into play then.This is the major issue , they can't prove she is actually dead, once again imo.

There is no thorny issue of how MM left the apartment, certainly as far as the police are concerned,


The officer added that however Madeleine left the apartment, she was abducted.
“She wasn’t old enough to make a decision to set off and start her own life,” he said.

I doubt the German authorities have thought much about the evening of May 3rd. They know they don't need to prove anything because all the evidence from 2007 says the apartment was wide open. According to that evidence anyone could have been in and out of there easily.

I would entirely agree with that.

It would be information I would expect to be advanced from a criminal trial. Quite evidently though, that will not happen until jurisdiction is decided with regard to the five outstanding cases still in the pipeline.

No point in adding another case to the queue particularly while there is still work that can be done.

Which exit ? no one has determined that, imo if Wolters goes down that road which would he take? and why, this is where the files would come into it, there is no evidence of the window being open, crime scene photos show closed.If he can prove CB killed MM then he doesn't need this.

I must admit to concurring with previous posts that there is something of a parallel trial playing out especially lately, with so much chatter in the media by prosecutors, defence and witnesses. I would have thought it undermines the integrity of each. Very weird.
