I wish we could get better reporting. It seems unlikely HCW said a trial date would be set soon when he hasn't even issued charges. The court would have to accept the charges and move the case to trial first. Maybe he meant he is about to issue charges?? Who can tell from such poor quality reporting.

Right - e.g. I highly doubt HCW mentioned speaking to a trial witness on the record to the daily mail.

I assumed most people are like me and just use "HCW" to stand for Braunschweig Prosecutors Office. I don't think anyone assumes he is bringing the case personally - he's not the case lead IIRC

Fair enough & im glad you think that way. Movies & TV shows often centre around one character as the lead justice seeker who wins or loses in the courtroom. They’ll also write that character to appeal to some & not to others. I try to avoid talking as if & presenting as if this is centred around HCW. Behind the scenes is a massive operation with 99% of the people & so much of the work unknown to us. Just as is the case with a movie.
