What do you consider to be the wrong directions ?

The only wrong direction I can think of is one that's neither fact nor truth-based. :)

HeB is not the start of all. The German police

So has he said we have no forensics at all or only no forensic evidence she is dead?
If there's no forensic evidence she is dead how can anyone be forensically linked?

HeB was the start of the BKA’s investigation into CB for a crime against MM. He also gave info on the rapes he viewed on video which initiated the conviction for the DM rape.

Without HeB, CB was weed dealer who collected kiddie 🤬🤬🤬🤬 to the BKA.

Indeed, I imagine that none of us would be wanting to see a miscarriage of justice

There wont be a miscarriage of justice. Experienced judges will assess the evidence, listen to the arguments & come to a decision. One would have to be in a bizarre universe if one failed to realise that irrespective of all of the evidence, the ‘cause’ will have to continue.

Some more news about CB:

Oldenburg (Lower Saxony) – The next public prosecutor has brought charges against Christian Brückner (47). However, it's still not about the Maddie case.

The man who is said to have kidnapped little Madeleine McCann (then 3) from a holiday apartment in Portugal in 2007 is accused of insulting judicial officials!

Background: In April 2023, according to BILD information, Brückner filed a complaint against two sergeants at the Oldenburg JVA, where he until recently served part of his seven-year sentence for rape.

The prisoner complained that he had been kept in solitary confinement for too long and described two judicial officers as “torturers”. The investigation into this complaint has been closed.

Nevertheless, the ad has consequences – but for Brückner himself!

The officers in turn filed a complaint against the prisoner for insulting him. Likewise, another sergeant, whom Brückner is said to have called a “son of a bxxxx” in October 2023. After completing the investigation, the Oldenburg public prosecutor's office brought charges.

Is that really necessary?

Brückner will be tried at the Braunschweig Regional Court from February 16th. There he is accused of “five acts against sexual self-determination”: He is said to have raped three women, including the Irish woman Hazel B in 2004. In two other cases he is said to have sexually abused children. If Brückner is found guilty, he will face preventive detention - he would not be automatically released after serving his sentence.

If convicted of insults, Brückner would probably also be fined. All the effort of another process for that?

“This accusation is really farcical,” complains Brückner’s defense attorney, Kiel star lawyer Dr. Friedrich Fülscher (39).

"First of all, the term 'torturer' in the context of a criminal complaint by the accused should not be punishable under Section 193 of the Criminal Code: anyone who criticizes a state measure may also do so in an exaggerated manner."

Calling someone a son of a bxxxx is of course a punishable offense, Fülscher continues: “However, public prosecutors should regularly dismiss trivial cases if the punishment to be imposed is not significantly significant compared to the punishment that can be expected for another crime. This regulation cannot be more relevant than in the Christian B. case.”

However, there is no obligation to stop such trivialities. In principle, it is at the discretion of each public prosecutor whether to file charges or not.

This accusation, says Fülscher, “is a massive waste of tax money: because of an insult, public defender costs and considerable personnel costs are incurred to carry out the procedure.”

It is still unclear when the Oldenburg district court will open the proceedings. Likewise, when and whether Brückner will also be charged in the Maddie case.

I tend to agree with Fulscher.

I guess that when we have heard the evidence, all will become clear.

I have a feeling that the strongest evidence still will not be enough. Goal posts & standards will change as the cases progress & the evidence becomes public. I don’t think any evidence will be enough to change minds. My opinion

A man who has a history of filming his victims & torturing them, has complained about being filmed (yoghurt incident) & being tortured. Such a painful read & I highly doubt anybody will have an iota of sympathy for him. Classic psychopath, he’s all about himself with zero empathy for what he put those innocent people through. Child molesters never have a good prison life & he really should be thankful that he’s not being put at risk. The German system won’t yield to this whinging monster. Justice is coming.

” Most important witness in the Maddie case did NOT lie

Braunschweig - Important decision by the Braunschweig public prosecutor's office ahead of the trial against Christian Brückner (47): The investigation against a prosecution witness has been dropped.
From February 16, Brückner, who allegedly abducted and murdered little Maddie McCann in 2007, will stand trial in Braunschweig. It is about rape and sexual abuse of children.

Helge B. had put the police on the trail of the Maddie suspect in 2018.
Together with witness Manfred S., he claimed to have stolen a camera and video tapes showing Christian B. raping several women. Helge B.'s statements and the subsequent investigations brought Brückner to court.
He was sentenced to seven years in prison for raping the American Diana M. (then 72).

Helge B. stated at the time that he had probably left the video tapes in his caravan when he left Portugal.
Helge B. was questioned again in 2023 as part of the investigation into the Maddie case. This time, he stated that he may have left the tapes in a finca that he was living in at the time. Reason enough for Christian Brückner's lawyer Dr. Friedrich Fülscher (39) to charge the witness with making false statements.
The Braunschweig public prosecutor's office has now come to the conclusion that there are no indications that the witness made a false statement under oath
Helge B., the public prosecutor argues, never claimed to know definitively where he had left the videos. He had only speculated. A false statement was of no use to him, on the contrary: with his new statement from 2023, he wanted to help find the missing tapes after all. Furthermore, he had already told witnesses about the content of the videos in 2006 - long before he contacted the police about Maddie.
Helge B. will testify again as a witness at the trial before the Braunschweig Regional Court. The video tapes are still missing.”

This must be very challenging for Fulscher. He’s made several attempts on behalf of his client over the past few years, but to date, HCW & his prosecution have won every single one of these micro battles. Clearly Fulscher didn’t like the prospect of this being heard in court. If he can’t win anything outside of the courtroom I highly doubt he’ll win anything inside the courtroom. The best of the best would struggle to defend CB.

The evidence if it convinces the judges will convict CB, nothing more nothing less.imo.

I agree. Stranger abduction was always the only plausible scenario. From the day it happened until now, the evidence & information against CB is overwhelmingly more credible than anybody & everybody else beforehand. If 10% of the evidence & information against CB was applied to other people talked about in this case - people would be screaming guilty from the rooftops.
I kinda don't agree. There was point in time where I would have been very suspicious about Kate and Gerry if I have been following true crime back then. I still wonder why Gerry's tennis bag was never found.

When this evidence is presented in court I shall no doubt be among them.

I've yet to see anything that links CB to MM, other than wishful thinking, and I don't think there'll be anything forthcoming any time soon.

IMO

May 2022 it seems.
actually...a article said he said it...but when did HE say it? because there is nothing that seems to suggest that that is actually his opinion or at least he has never said anything of the kind in interviews.

If I'm reading this right there's a statute of limitations to charge on lesser charges, ie: CB can only be charged with murder now.? Is this the case?

German media note that the suspect cannot be charged with anything other than murder, as the statute of limitation for lesser charges has passed.
