Some people are more charitable than others.

Why would anyone help a convicted paedo
The fundraising is self-serving 😉

Because CB is the prime suspect in their MM case.

Not surprised that someone has stumped up the cash for him. There are a lot of people out there who, while fully accepting the criminal reality of CB, still have a problem with the public and legally questionable way CB was fingered for MM by HCW. And who believe people are innocent until proven otherwise in a court, rather than damned in the media on the basis of evidence that failed to materalise.

That could certainly drive someone to pay his fine for him, be it sympathy for him or a protest gesture aimed at the BKA.

It is what it is. 🤷‍♀️

Mystery eh?
I don’t think so.

Yeah - who’d have seen that coming…

Ironically, CB blabbing in his letter to *** could become an incriminating factor in the MM trial. In the time of proceedings he was willing to talk in a letter to a ‘researcher’ but refused to co-operate in the investigation. Whoops!

That as well, though I'm not sure even a mother could love him

The grift still pays well I assume.

My Opinion of course.
Yup.

Narcissists tend to glue themselves to these types of cases & be as controversial as possible to garner as much attention as they think they can get. The trick is to read the narcissist & not fall for it.

Money for CB doesn’t remove him from the MM equation, nor will future bragging about the money raised. But they won’t understand that yet because they think it has more weight than it does.

Actually I don't think she did. CB and his brother had a very tough childhood. That was not his fault but no doubt it could have warped his formative years.

We shouldn’t forget the fine is for driving drunk and beaten NM black and blue. Anyone who support this and paid his fine supports horrible abuse of teenage girls and alcohol driving. Nothing to do with MM Disgusting

And all that gets is a crappy fine ? Doesn't sound right.

Yep. If he assaults somebody at Christmas the individuals (plural) who donated will have enabled that. But don’t expect guilt.
The reason for the donation isn’t really about CB it’s about them.

I’m not sure it’ll have much of an impact on the next Atalaia search though.

Hopefully this forces the prosecution’s hand and they charge him for MM. There seems to be no alternative.

He got 18 months for sexually assaulting a child and you question the fine? I am not at the least surprised

I really pity the people who want this monster released earlier into the world and fear for what humanity is becoming. Guilty or not of MM, paying for this person to roam the streets is unimaginable. Jmo

Profile it.

We don't actually the point from which MM was abducted, whether from her bed or if she wandered from 5a om her own, to find her parents. Based on the intervals between safety checks, she could have been missing for a fair amount of time before they realized it.

If it was crime of opportunity, a guest or employee of the resort, I don't think it would have remained a mystery.

I don't know what the actual statistics are, but in a lot of SA abductions, the children are assaulted and often murdered within the hour.

Why wasn't MM found, assaulted and discarded, somewhere nearby?

Because she wasn't kidnapped by a local. She was removed from the area. MOO

And IMO not by someone acting in a panic but rather by someone with a plan.

What's different about this case IMO dovetails with what is known about CB's proclivities.

He had the ability to walk her away, secret her in vehicle and escape the area. Didn't discard her in the first hour nor the first 24 because he is a different brand of offender. If his writings are too be believed, he wanted to keep a little. And MM going missing and staying missing fits with that, in a way that most abductions IMO don't (assault, kill, discard).

The fact that MM disappeared from that resort with people so close and that she wasn't recovered deceased from nearby informs us what kind of person might be able, capable and comfortable doing so.

The absence of evidence can be evidence.
