What a puzzlement and how strange.

So in this case we allegedly had LE who collected vital evidence illegally (oops) and now someone from former LE willing to waste over a grand on...this.

Furthermore although German law is supposed to allow for monitoring the most dangerous offenders, they admit CB might just be released and "disappear."

It's quite disheartening to me.

What a total shambles. I struggle to believe this officer would not know what the penalities were for.

It’s always something you don’t expect with this case. So frustratingly painful.

This is a good example of the problem with disgruntlement people, trolls & fangirls trying to be involved.

A ‘researcher’ has been obtaining funds from a ‘group’ - there is enough to pay his next fines from the upcoming cases. He will be out in September.

This smacks of the defence trying to create a narrative around any cell audio & this disgruntled woman’s donations could play to this. The defence may have engineered this. They want the trial going asap, hence pulling release date forward

No, she wasn’t happy with the bugging of his cell. It was reported during the trial that she was disgruntled at the BKA.

I mentioned it in a prior post that there would be people who didn’t like the process that’s been followed.

Such is the desire to solve the case that corners are perhaps being cut.

I hope this pushes the prosecutors to charge him.

The release date was always September if a fine was paid ,so its not pulling it forward, if the prosecution do not have enough evidence to charge then they do not ,no matter what date of his release.

Side? Truth and justice is the side to be on, and it's not in a German jail in relation to MM imo.

One has to agrees with that completely; obviously truth and justice for MM lies within the files amassed over the years by investigating detectives.

Defence. Not surprising. The ‘researcher’ has also raised funds, so irrespective of this & the few grand he’ll be find fined next - he will be scheduled to be out in September. That’s an underground hysteria-fest & even if not a donator the awareness is there

Yes - truth lies in the German investigative file. My guess is that half a page of those files will be more immeasurably stronger than anything that’s come up before. Tbh a square foot of that box factory does the same thing.

While there's nothing I'd like more than for CB to be charged and for the MM case to go to trial, they can still only charge him if the MM evidence they have is compelling. I'm not saying it isn't there, just that if it's now compelling, why wait to charge him?

All this 'noise' over the fine payment and his potential release date should have no bearing on that.

There's no reason to wait unless the BKA is still not confident that a charge based on what they have will get the go-ahead, that they're, instead, still living in hope that some miraculous 'game-changer' will fall into their laps at the 11th hour.

I really want them to come belt and braces and get this case to court. This is now so beyond the 'we're in no hurry' o'clock.

I’m curiously lost with choice of bait, especially when one also knows all about ‘group’ funding.

We’ve all said for months that his fines will be paid, the recent donator admitted to her naivety, the issue is hysteria messes with the ability to think rationally & behave normally.

Everything goes back to money and the lack of transparency associated with it. The stringency applied to prevent money laundering is intense which leads one to suggest that if the mystery donor's name has appeared in the press she may have been chosen as the 'patsy' whose identity was always intended to be leaked
Just one more example of disruptions which characterise so much of this case from the start and continues with the introduction of CB as a 'patsy' which in some eyes cleared him from then on in.

CB will stand trial in Germany given the calibre of the evidence against him is met and the judge agrees.

One senses a worried man right now. No wee ditties or cartoons goading the cops being published of late.

My opinion

As far as I know - the letter he sent to the ‘researcher’ was a mistake. Because in the period he’s refusing to co-operate & won’t answer to his whereabouts he’s sent out a letter to this fan, giving *** an explanation of what he was doing around that time. It’s also likely he caught himself in a lie. The defence have asked him to put a stop to this.

For the ‘researcher’ if this works against him it’ll be absolutely devastating for ***. Those following are going to keep on playing dumb to the fundraising

We’ve been led to believe that there is a high bar for an indictment in Germany and this is supported with a conviction rate of mid-eighty percent in serious crimes like rape and murder.

However, in the last trial, we saw weak evidence supporting that trial - particularly the anonymous rape crimes.

I think the prosecutors believe they already have enough for an indictment in the MM case. It’s also still an active investigation - the investment in the recent searches was signed off to add to a strong case, not fix a weak one IMO.

I don’t think CB is responsible for MM’s abduction or murder. I am open to him having involvement in her disappearance but not as we are being led to believe.

The motivation to keep him locked up and get him to trial is strong. It’s being backed up with cash. Time will tell but I think we’ll see him in court.

My biggest fear is of an anticlimax. I think once we all see the evidence, we’ll have a different view to that of the prosecutors.
