What does that got to do with it? I don't understand your point. The BKA said nothing
I am talking about thet searches themselves and how they got permission for them
I was responding to someone who said the comments of the German officials after the searches must mean they found something substantial, then you responded about permissions, which were totally not my point. Do we have a misunderstanding here?

What have permissions to do with the way German officials talked about the search? The search was done by Bunderskriminalamt, German police force, paid from the taxes of German citizens. And these citizens do not exactly want to hear their hard earned money were spent on a fruitless search, so of course the statement made by BKA after search was full of rpund, empty words designed to make it look better than it was. That's my point.
I don’t think people become overly fiscal when the money is used to look for a missing child.

You seem to speak for all German citizens. My German friends have no problem with the BKA and the searches.

Yes I get that impression too.

When it comes to investigations, people generally become frustrated with government expenditure when the money is being spent on something they don’t like. For example - the German investigation into CB.

Then there no significance of CB being an Arguido using that argument.
'Arguido' translates as 'suspect' or 'person of interest'. It is a legal status which can be imposed by the legal authorities or can be requested by the subject.
Since 2007 the Portuguese Legal code demands that 'imposition' must be supported by evidence.

The original files in Portuguese are there to be translated if any one so wishes.
Unless there is a cite which confirms the internet publication of the files of any other unsolved crime one feels confident in asserting that MM's case files which have been treated in this fashion.

Case files are published and anyone with a direct interest can got to a public office and request a copy.
They are not for general distribution to all and sundry.

Witnesses found their supposedly confidential witness statements and identities published in the public domain.
One example being CT who we have been discussing on this thread. MM's is an unsolved but active case.

Nothing happens in Portugal without the say so of the Portuguese authorities.

Foreign police forces work in conjunction with and under the auspices of the Portuguese.

An example of this co-operation being Portuguese officers sitting in on the rogatory interviews in Britain 2008
and British officers sitting in on interviews in Portugal 2014.

MM is absolutely a British subject.
Yes that was my point - MM is a British subject and thus no politics involved in the BKA but do appear in the OG

Is there still anything interesting in the recent investigations concerning the old pj files? I mean who cares on which side Gary stood on the streets and if the window was open when bka can confirm CB did it? They do not have to prove he was in 5 a if they can prove he killed her he surely was or she was on the way to her parents outside.
The only interesting things I see are the sightings by TMS, CT and others

Agree. I'm sure the BKA will and can bypass all the 5a stuff.

If it ever gets to a trial then we'll be able to see for ourselves what they can try and bypass.

The way(s) in which MM came to the hands of CB if they can prove CB killed her are nowhere here nor there.

Yep. The stacking dilutes it.

I think 1 piece of evidence against CB will be immeasurably stronger than anything before it. When that happens all other arguments debunked 😉
