Agree on a well for the risk of detection.
Many doubts if he had explored boat option. Seems perhaps too complex, "elaborated" for him to have tried it (also for any unwanted attention that it could called, but from the murder's perspective, less risky in terms of body detection, yes).

IMO very unlikely a boat. Wasn’t something familiar to him, not capable of taking one out to deep sea. Also perceived high degree of risk + time constraints (even if premeditated). If you don’t want to spotted in the med at night don’t go near boats either on land or at sea. IMO Steering clear of either highway is quite likely therefore coastal areas possible.

Exactly what I've thought initially.
Sea could be too risky. A well in Atalaia or surroudings would be a short drive from PdL. Although closer, perhaps less risky than Arade (longer drive increasing the chances to be stopped by police).

There are reports of him digging at Foral.

With access to a small boat, disposal at sea would be ideal. A weighted body dropped overboard a couple of miles offshore would have little to no chance of being found.
A well has a higher risk of recovery.

I think othere reports talk about the journey being that night. (Possible Channel 5 doc)

So maybe not a 'gotcha' moment
