I don't think you are being naive. I've been reading about this case since the beginning and I don't see how with the checks the parents and friends were doing that it's likely someone got in there and wasn't heard. Either the times they gave are not right, or no abductor was in their IMO.

What are you the
IMO the german prosecutor is unlikely to care much about what the parent's lawyer thinks. Otherwise he would have had them on board from the start.

But this is precisely why I query what the hell is going on. Anyone knows this case unleashes a tabloid shitstorm, but the german prosecutor doesn't seem to have his friends in the Met or the parents looped in

Maybe this whole press shitstorm is actually being coordinated on purpose by the 3 LE authorities?
Perhaps we’re all being played?
It maybe a tactic in order to break CB?
They know that the Media have been so involved in this case from the start and have harnessed it.
They know he got angry & irritated by a employee & shouted “the child is dead”, so they already have a hook into his behaviour.
His Lawyers are probably relating all this info back to him- is it being coordinated to provoke a reaction from CB?

ok mate. you cant be looking very hard because i found multiple sources quoting what i posted verbatim.

No I've looked and can see quotes. The problem is translation because the prosecutor has denied some of the quotes attributed in the UK press. The German media doesn't seem to have anything about it which is why I am questioning it.

No. I disagree. Where has the prosecutor used the words 'concrete'. It seems to have come from the Daily Mail and the '100%' came from The sun
The German press are questioning where the UK media ( like the Sun) are getting their info from. There also don't seem to be any reports of sending the McCanns a letter in the German press.
I just heard the words from the mouth of Adam Boulton. Sky News presenter X

Madeleine McCann suspect probed over murder of boy who had testicles removed

Mirror again - but this quote from the above link jumps out -
Chief Prosecutor Noah Kruger told German daily newspaper Bild: “We are checking whether there are any connections between the two cases. In itself, however, this is not unusual, but routine. The sequence of events and the E-fit from the Tristan case could be similar.”

Interesting thought. Didn't CB receive counseling to deal with the press "shitstorm"?

Der Westen have reported on the letter but they quote the Sun as the source.

Exactly. The prosecutor said there was a 'chance she could still be alive' days ago. He cannot have seen evidence in 2 days that makes him writes to the parents and tell them he knows 100%. The words are all there but I thnk the UK media are exaggerating certain things.

this is frustrating..they have sent a letter saying that they have concrete evidence that not only is she dead, but that CB killed her.
Theyve even gone so far as to say that they cant share the details publicly.
Everything has been speculation and soft language until now, so i understand the theories and speculation but that was when there wasnt an official letter. i dont get what the debate here is. We dont need to speculate anymore.
It doesn't mention when the letter was sent, could have been a while ago but we are only being told about it now.

Interestingly, I could have sworn when I read the Mail article yesterday, Clarence Mitchell was quoted as saying the McCanns had received a letter but wouldn't be commenting further on the content (indicating it was sent previously). Now, on the article it just quotes him as saying they will not comment on private correspondence.

German police have a history of mind games towards suspects if you think of Zersetzung - Wikipedia methods. I think this might be forbidden now by the EU law but they might use some of the previous practices.

I have seen reports Christian B was heavily followed by the officers 24/7 and he noticed it and played a game with them and still escaped to Italy but they know a lot about him since they followed him all the time.

The German Prosecutor has written to the McCann's that Maddie is deceased. I don't think that leaves a lot of room for ambiguity.

I have shown you that the statement has been made, and quoted in multiple outlets. Yet you keep on suggesting a wider media conspiracy and reference to anything but the letter. The letter changes everything. What's the purpose of this conspiracy?..considering that it'd involve the coordination of many media sources globally?
Who does it benefit?.. how do they manage to coordinate and keep all of us ill or uninformed?
There's no translation issue at all here. That was the issue UNTIL the announcement of the letter.

my point exactly. thank you.

It's about where they got the info from. What's the source? The earliest source of this letter seems to be The Daily Mail, 13 hours ago, Sky is 8 hours ago according to a search.
....and nothing in the German Press about a letter.

Yes he is - but I think he also could be playing the ‘victim’ game there.

That's probably why he was found in Italy, he couldn't return to Germany or Portugal, too much heat.

I'm not suggesting a conspiracy but problems with translation.
The prosecutor has already said one interview attributed to him was wrong, so there are obviously issues with word meanings/ translation from the UK media.
And my point about the letter is that it probably doesn't say 'concrete' or 100% as the UK press have said.

...
Wolters has confirmed that he sent a letter to Gerry and Kate McCann explaining that they have evidence for a murder investigation, but was unable to give any details on the evidence that they have during the ongoing case.
He told the Daily Mail: "I sympathise with the parents but if we reveal more details to them it might jeopardise the investigation. We have concrete evidence that our suspect has killed Madeleine and this means she is dead. We of course really consider the fact that it is going to be very hard for the family when we tell them... But we can’t say why she is dead – it is more important that we are successful and we are able to get the culprit as opposed to just putting our cards on the table and telling them why we think she might be."

this is common sense. If they have something that confirms cb was there (video, photo, souvenir) that confirms he was there, then it looks fairly certain as she’s not with him now that he’s done something.

the only way the girl has survived 13 years is if she is with a new family. Now is he the type to have done that if he is linked to the initial abduction?

I hope they are wrong

It seems that the McCann's family spokesperson (an ex BBC reporter) has confirmed that the letter had been sent.

Clarence Mitchell, the McCann family spokesman, told The Sun that the letter had been sent but added: “Kate and Gerry simply do not comment on private correspondence received from police and nor will they be giving a running commentary.”

Adam Boulton on Sky News has not just said "The S** says.. Or 'The Mirror says... His words were 'a German Prosecutor has said he has written a letter to The McCanns'.. The Sky News team are a lot more reliable with their probing and releasing of information. Their is truth in this News X

I don't know how German Law stacks up with 'mental illness' defence, 'he didn't know what he was doing when he killed Maddie'. He will take that course somewhere along the line.

Counselling is just a prelude to that.

I'm not saying there isn't a letter. My point in the first place was what that letter contains. I doubt it says 'concrete evidence' or '100% proof' as The Mirror and Sun had claimed...and they were the first ones with the news about the letter.
I think the whole of the UK media has proved to be pretty terrible in this case, and errors are being made left right and centre.
