Yeah i think its very normal to have an umbrella in your car..I always have one in my car...its very handy for when it... rains. Especially if you wear suits and we know CB often went out in suits or jackets

This pic edit is courtesy of Photographer4.
I think it’s clear from this photo that whatever is being seen in the window is merely a reflection of something Outside. If it was something in the van you would still see it, but the image is completely whitewashed out.
In the second pic of the van from the different angle, it looks like CB used sun reflecting curtains in the van (metallic shine).
No i disagree, the door is open and the tinted glass is doubled with that exposure you are only going to see the glare.
Also the vw pic of the left of the vw theres a curtain or something across so you cannot see inside.

I always have one in my car too, and it doesn't rain very much here. But it is better to leave a brolly in the car than wish I had one when I suddenly might need it.
I have been known to use it for shade from the sun, on occasion, when I have forgotten a hat and it is one of our burning hot days (of which we have quite a few).

Hi, I have been reading your posts for the past few weeks. I cannot express my points of view because my english is not good enough, but I want to share these interesting links with you

See youtube videos The Dragon fest/ festival 2007 in Orgiva.
Hi! Can you elaborate on the youtube videos please? I don’t see anything or anyone, did you?

Just my opinion.
He lives in a country that rarely rains. Yet he has a massive umbrella very close to hand, as if it's used regularly.
I also always have an umbrella in the car, but it's chucked in the back of the car or boot - and I live in a very rainy place, but I don't feel the need to have it wedged or balanced against the driver's seat.
Theres just something doesnt sit right with me about it. Eg it could be a weapon/defence for his "jobs"; something to beat someone with; I also have a more sinister thought but it is too gross to post.
I personally feel a bit creeped out by it, but as I say, it's just my opinion.

Smithman child would be about 17 now herself. Wouldn’t remember being there, but potentially would be interested to be part of ‘history’ if it cropped up in a family conversation. May well be able to persuade Smithman to come forward after all this time, if she became aware herself: instagram appeal?
I have thought similar about the McCann twins, as they become older and more inquisitive.

Also. We have heard a lot about how he looked and dressed, by people who know him. If he used a large black umbrella regularly, someone would have at least mentioned it by now, as that would be very distinctive

Apologies, should have been more clear about the curtains - I think probably has them on both sides, and the fold is possibly what you are seeing, the same way it folds in the other picture.

I’m really not sure why we are focused on the umbrella

Because I'm allowed an opinion, and I've stated why I think it's sinister? Others have asked why, and I have replied to explain.

Someone who is being investigated for dreadful crimes in a dry country, and has a *massive* umbrella readily to hand, next to the driver's seat is weird. If you dont think so, then that's your prerogative!

I'm not sure why some things are disregarded as nothing, when others are given huge amounts of discussion for no reason whatsoever.

Thankyou!, i can definitely see a girl in a blue dress, cant believe people cannot see it,ive tried to get it a bit better here..ill drop it now but there is definately a girl in that pic.
Sorry I can’t manage to attach a pic myself, but I mean the very back window which is darker is where I see a young girl standing with her back to the cupboard

I wasn’t disregarding anything, I was just asking as I wasn’t sure, sorry if I offended with how I phrased this it wasn’t meant to upset anyone

She told how he once made her “strange German food” at his home.

Have to look more into west coast beaches in portugal
I have been reading how there is a lot of codes used re paedophile chat, using food names or car refrences etc.But im hoping the food he served her was poultry or something and not what i am imagining.

OMG

Thanks, I appreciate that. It came across to me like it was ridiculous to suggest it might be relevant.

Umbrellas are also used a lot to hide things eg blades

I honestly think the "face" is far too tiny for someone sitting next to the window? The proportion just seems all wrong?
Also remember that the human brain looks for faces etc in complex images, in order to try to make sense of them, which is why we see faces in clouds and trees etc

I am not convinced either... but i see something pink.. but could be reflection. Here i marked what i see, but as i say before ...if it is a person then the person looks to tall to be a small child.
I think everyone perceives images differently. I do see what looks like a child, but just to the right of that I see a monkey's face with round yellow eyes and a big pink afro. I'm sure that's not what it is, though. In a different image I saw what looked like a light colored dog sitting straight up and facing forward.

It's a little like looking at the clouds. If you look long and hard enough eventually you will see an image that resembles something.

I think there are curtains on the inside and we are also seeing the glare on the window. I don't think there is anyone inside.
