On that pic I can see 3 people. It could be pareidolia though. One looks like a woman and the others like children.

I’m referring to the pic uploaded by snowpea666.
Yeh I dont know ? strange one for sure

Poor parents.

Were the men in the same accident? It seems a bit odd to me, as the area they come from doesn’t seem that big (in terms of population) for randomly similar outcomes. But there may be cultural or geographical factors that I don’t know about.

D, watch well Portuguese plate. Too lengthy to be covered by a square plate (anyway he only needed to unscrew it, but what's the difference to have his German or Portuguese plate in Spain?)
• 1992-present: portuguese plate has the issue date on it. right hand side on yellow.
• malaga photo is covering portuguese plate.
• see issue date on Amaral photo attached... 02/07... FEB 2007
so, assuming the 'photoshop blanking' is covering the portuguese plate, we can say the Malaga photo was taken sometime after feb 2007.

dates are narrowing down, and getting closer to may 2007 imo.

Thanks folks, very much appreciated :D

I don’t really understand what GA was trying to achieve with Graffitigate, or if it’s relevant or not relevant etc.
I was just looking at the photo of the VW in Málaga zoomed in, and it did look like there was a bad paint job done at the back. So I messed around with the settings a bit just to see - I don’t think it’s “covering” the cartoon that’s shown in GA’s graffiti pics though, that’s way further reaching than the marks on the pic I have attached. And I wouldn’t be able to tell if it was done in real life or manipulated on a computer. But it does look like there is *something* painted over.
Anyway, have a look and see what you think. It could well just be a trick of very strong, Andalusian sunlight.
Zoom in on the bits I’ve circled.

(Also in agreement with whoever originally said it, I’m starting to think that reflection is more like MT. In some variations of this, I thought I could make out a neck tattoo).

So in the pic...
Yellow circle - bad paint job.
Red circle - marks?
Blue arrows - ... Damn pareidolia, but those really look like decals on the window or something.

And just for fun :p
... Green circles - don’t those corner things resembling the “ball of a tow bar” look very easy to detach and like they could be hand held for convenience??:eek:

ETA - I actually didn’t think of those cartoons as being stickers... Could the difference in colour be from sticker removal or something? A way to avoid detection maybe?

so Amaral is saying the VW images he showed were how the camper looked in may 2007 - All white with stickers. is he?
or is he talking in riddles?
He's just talking absolute rubbish, questioning why German LE are showing the yellow and white van and not the stickered version he is claiming to be the van. When the interviewer makes the point that may not have been how the van looked in 2007 he goes on to say "how do they know what it looked like in 2007?". Notice how he doesn't actually say that isn't how it looked in 2007, he just asks how do German LE know. Well it's probably something to do with real police work GA. Like photos of the van at the time, and the numerous witnesses who have been in the news saying they remember the van.

You may already have this, ignore if already been posted.....................

"He was charged after police caught him driving his Jaguar in Lagos near Praia da Luz in breach of a confiscation order in January 2004.

He was allowed to keep the German-plated vehicle after being stopped for using a disabled parking bay - but told he could not use it because he had failed to put it on Portuguese plates despite living on the Algarve.Christian B tried to escape punishment by falsely claiming afterwards he was a tourist and said he was simply helping out friends at a bar in Lagos where police said they had spotted him working.

He ended up receiving a £270 (€300) fine after a 2006 trial for disobedience when a court ruled he had lied about not understanding a banning order on using the Jaguar because of language difficulties.Police told court officials they had no record of him having any other vehicles, but a subsequent search thought to be linked to non-payment of the fine and ordered in January 2008, revealed his ownership of the Opel Ascona and Mercedes-Benz van."

Maddie suspect had 2 other vehicles not found by cops at time she vanished

3 different descriptions of the same man they all saw, at exactly the same time. one of them describes him as young as 20-30, the other describes him at 35, and martin smith describes him at 40. obviously guessing a persons age is subjective but that's quite a disparity. I'm not sure we can really rely fully on their testimony's tbh. especially since 13 years have passed too.

I think the arms description is really interesting. I have 3 small children. If they fall asleep whilst I’m carrying them, they will almost certainly always have their arms around me and remain like that when asleep.

I can’t think of a time amongst hundreds when I’d be carrying them with their arms down, except if I’ve picked them up when already asleep.

yes, i thought that to start with. but it can't be 82. as the point of that number is to show a month number.
the 8 is a zero with a diagonal through it. see the zero n 07 below it.

I have just spent a few seconds looking at googled images of Westfalia campervan rear bumper. I can’t see anything remotely resembling the green circled balls on any other pictures. Aside from his own personal pleasure, I have no idea what they may be for. Would be worth thinking about, maybe to see if it is something unique to CB, or for a particular purpose.

Anyone have a number to pass info to the German LE?
Operation grange... no answer, no ansaphone

Did you get in touch with the authorities?

I know nothing about registrations, Sleuth, so I’m very happy to stand corrected :) it might just be how it zoomed, in the zoomed out pic it could definitely pass for 0!

They’re on the included photos also, and I think I see the brackets on the graffiti van too.

I also noticed that there appears to be a dent on his Jag in the same shape and at the same height those balls would be. Maybe to prevent the VW getting damaged when parking?

yes. standard automated reply from the operation grange email.
not even a standard automated reply from the german email i was given.

i hope this means they already know about Malaga.

his friend AB said the camper turned up in Augsburg towing the jag.
there was some debate on WS as to whether he towed the jag from portugal, or somewhere in Germany.

could they be wider brake lights/indicators for when pulling the jag? or pulling any other vehicle for that matter. he seems to have loads of cars to deal with.

Possibly, but still worth letting them know. You’d think they would have atleast one person from Op Grange answering the phone even on a Sunday!..

Could well be lights, I thought the same in the picture at the beach. They look like lights facing backwards... But forwards in the Málaga photo?
