Maggots On A Plane! Seriously, Frickin Maggots On A Plane In The Overhead Compartment

Oh ick....just when I thought I was safe.

I did read about this story when it was released on the newswire. I was astonished that they just seemed to give this person their rotten meats back and let them walk off the plane????

Wha????
As for the other infestations --- they seem eerily biblical to me and that's disturbing.

On my last travel assignment, I came back to the apartment after a looong night and turned back the covers to see this staring back at me:

Me ---> :eek:

This would have been me;

That too LOL

Even after calling the front desk to kill it, (it looks too big to flush) I wouldn't sleep a wink that night. Every little brush of the sheets would make me jump and fly out of bed. :crazy:

The RSPCA has issued an alert urging people to be on their guard amid fears a large batch of the spider has escaped in the north of the country....

I'm glad I'm on this side of the pond!!

Interesting research on spiders.

This thread title brought up a memory for me.

Back in the early 90's we were living in Germany.

It was govn housing that was leased from the Germans by the military.

Old housing that had been built to house the SS officers that were at the Kaserne that was located at the end of my block.

(I have a lot of interesting stories about living in that bldg LOL, I won't go into them here)

Anyway, it was 3 stories of apts. It had a basement, and an attic formally used as maids quarters above.

The balconies had been added at a later date than the bldg was built. They were concrete and the floor of the balconey did not meet flush with the wall of open cinderblock (lacy pattern) that created the enclosure.

One day, I walked out to put our garbage in the can there on the balconey to be taken down at the end of the day to the dumpster. I saw all this white rice covering the floor of my balconey.

I stood there for a minute thinking WTH did that come from and saw that it was falling from the balconey above us onto my balconey floor through that gap.

It was maggots.

The family above us, were taking dirty diapers and tossing them onto the balconey without putting them in garbage bags or a garbage can and had collected a massive pile of diapers.

The maggots had infested those diapers and were literally falling from up there.

I did not wait for my Husband to come home LOL I called him at work (no cell phones in those days) he walked home from the Kaserne and promptly walked back got the guy that lived upstairs with is wife and kids and told him he had to clean that up right this minute LOLOLOLOLOL

Aye, the stories I could tell :D

You didn't find the sequel to Anne Frank's diary up in the attic did you? I know that they once found the diarrhea of Anne Frank in the toilet. :saythat:

:crazy::innocent:

LOL Steely nope but my Husband swore up and down it was haunted up there. He said it was haunted in the basement too, the old storage corrals.

BUT----

This was shortly after the wall came down and the country was having quite a bit of problems with homeless fleeing the eastern bloc areas and coming to west Germany.

One night, while he was home, I went to the basement to wash clothes.

I heard something, and it attacted my attention so I walked to the doorway of the laundry room and looked out. There were no lights but down a very long dark hall of coralls I could see a shadow pass in front of a low basement window. (there was a street light outside that window)

So, my very pregnant self ran up three floors of stairs and told him to go down there.

He said Oh it's just a ghost. Then his buddy came from another apt having heard me yelling all the way up the stairs, and said YUP it's a ghost LOL.

So they went downstairs with me to show me there was just a lil ol' ghost and I was being a silly willy.

Well "their" ghost had BO from not bathing, he had taken a dump inside the basement and he was none to happy that when they discovered him they were between his route of escape and him.

LOLOLOLOL

They ran up three flights of stairs yelling all the way. I had already called the MPS :D

oh how I wish you hadnt linked a little photo :( I itch all over now.

ITA agree with whoever said if it was them they'd have to be sedated. hear, hear. I'd rather have dental implants again without the anaesthetic.
