Ridiculous!
Get your laws off my body.
Keep in mind, Gisele also said that childbirth didn't hurt a bit.......not at all.
I would beg to differ..........

We just had our 1st baby on July 16th... Emmi was 3 weeks early and although she was perfecly healthy (THANK GOD!!!) she just didn't have a good latch... We tried everything... Even the lactation nurse couldn't get it to work...
So, we tried pumping and I just wasn't making enough to keep up with our little girl... So, even though I really wanted to, I just couldn't breastfeed our little one.
I wonder what Missy Supermodel would like the punishment to be for those of us who can't breasteed...?
There's an entire generation of us baby boomers and few of us were breastfed. Our mothers also smoked and drank during pregnancy. As a rule we turned out healthy enough.
That's not to say that breastfeeding isn't preferable when possible; and of course I don't think pregnant women should smoke and drink.
But women who can't breastfeed or choose not to do so should not be treated as pariahs. Jeeze, Louise!

Really? Huhn. What's she got down there that I don't? I missed the boat on that one.
I would love to know how she defines "pain".

Also, I don't think women who CHOOSE not to breastfeed should feel bad. Some women just aren't comfortable with it, or they want their husband to be more involved with feed times, or they work and don't want to pump...who knows. But it's a choice. I used to be a member of La Leche League and I loved it, but I really think that if a baby is relying on a bottle of formula for nutrition, there is no harm in that. Not in our industrialized society, anyway. In the 21st century, it seems like boob vs. bottle is such a non-issue. If this super-model woman wants a cause to promote, there are lots more that could use her attention.
Every time I see this thread my mind reads it as *male* breastfeeding. lol
Maybe now that I have read it, my mind will interpret it the right way.
On topic, I couldn't breastfeed, either.
BBM-Congratulations!!!!! It is the coolest thing you will ever do...:woohoo:
Absolutely! Congrats to Jennie! And, frankly, it's none of my business whether she breastfeeds or not.
