:seeya: Forgive me for jumping in unannounced, please, but wasn't it reported that the 8 witnesses heard a loud bang at 1:30? I can't seem to find the orignal post. If the plane was being tracked in the air until 2:40, how could those witness reports be credible?

If we're not talking about the same witnesses just ignore me...I'm often confused.

It all just one huge mess isn't it?!! It truly is really starting to reek of KAL 007.

BBM~ They used stolen passports because you can an entry visa into Malaysia if you are Austrian/Italian and not Iran. My ex was Iranian and traveling with him was a nightmare until he got a Canadian passport.

My concern with this is, this needs to be stopped because people are running around the world with random ID.

TY that explains that angle for me!!!

See this place is great!! I first wrote this like this : See this joint is great. Then I thought you had better be clearer - could be read in another whole light (opps another pun)!

@xxxx Neil, thank you. I am investigating and have passed on the link to the government. Will keep you updated http://twitpic.com/dy1qmm

Check this out. Letter that was received by Vietnamese officials about a possible crash in Vietnam -.

He is a New Zealander (Kiwi :giggle:) working on a rig.

Maybe they should contact him.

Now I need to find out his location!

Assuming 7.5 hours fuel left and cruising at the 777's optimum speed of 905 km/h, as shown here:

This plane could have made it as far as Africa?

NOt sure if this "turnaround" has been posted - but lets make sure we take back every single statement we have made in the last 5 days!

The mysterious five passengers who checked in but did not board the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 do not exist after all, according to Malaysia's police chief Khalid Abu Bakar.

Here's the coordinates (from that oil rigger's letter) on Google map:

Seems off-course, for sure. But who knows?

Thanks for this, I was sleuthing for this. :seeya:

It seems unlikely that no other aircraft either saw it or ran head on onto it. It must've plummeted altitude within seconds as the potential witness wrote.

:scared: Eating Mars bars and sipping diet coke, no sleep for me!

Did the part of the letter that was redacted give the time when this event occured?

All I cut off was the identifying information at the top and bottom.
If there had been anything in what I cropped I would have just blurred instead.

Perhaps I missed it, but is there an official or MSM source that has confirmed the authenticity of this? Or is this just a photograph of someone holding something printed off of a printer?

It came from here: https://twitter.com/cnbcSri
