Personally I think it more likely that she perhaps spotted an animal or bird and climbed out the window to get a better look, then concentrating on following it, ended up lost. I should imagine that there is a lot of very beautiful, intriguing, wildlife around at dawn and if she's totally focused on following a bird for instance she could travel quite far without realising
Praying today's search finds her alive

I keep wondering what, perhaps, her school staff maybe said to her about the forthcoming 'trip of a lifetime' about all the wildlife she might see? Someone's words can stick in your mind. JMO

I saw descriptions of her, said to very shy and cautious---it seems out of character to go outside in one's undergarments, at age 15, if one is shy.

I guess what I mean is--if she decided to go out exploring on her own, why not throw on some clothes really quick?

Was she barefoot as well?

It kind of feels like someone running away quickly from something, as opposed to going on a casual morning walk.

The scenario of either following or running away from wildlife seems most plausible and if it was still dark, she could easily have become lost. But this still begs the question of why she hasn’t yet been found....? How far could she realistically have wandered?

I may be to totally wrong, but wasn't one of the theories with Maddie, she opened and crawled out the window?
The same 3 theories were considered for the McCann case 1. She wandered off 2. Abducted 3. Accidental murder / foul play involving the family.

Hearing the recording of Nora's mums voice had me in tears, I do hope she's found soon. Been hugging my little girls extra tight.

Nora Quoirin: Special prayers as hunt of jungle continues

Prayers have been said for missing Nora Quoirin and her mother's voice played over loudspeakers during a search of the Malaysian jungle for the teenager.

Nearby Kariah Pantai Mosque held a special prayer for the teenager on Thursday.

"We want to help the search and rescue," its committee secretary Abu Bakar Othman said.

"We sympathise and we understand the feelings of parents who have lost their child, and especially for me as I'm also a teacher of children with special needs," he added.

“Malaysians have long believed that spirits roam the country’s vast jungles”.

Yes, there are Malaysians who believe in the supernatural - but an entire nation can’t be generalised. The reporting on Nora Quoirin’s disappearance from the “West” has been very revealing.

Police say no footprints have been found in the search for Nóra Quoirin, and confirm that if the window in her room was not locked from inside, it could have been opened from outside. #NoraQuoirin

Might explain the jump to abduction immediately. Is there a disgruntled former husband? Maybe biological father of Nora?
I still think this is very far fetched! I think parents jump to abduction because if it DID happen, they want the police to investigate it with urgency.

If a family member had flown out to do something like this, it would be obvious! Also, why would they wait until the family goes on holiday in a rainforest?

I’m sure they’re not proposing that a family member has done something to their daughter. Surely they’re thinking a stranger.
