It's quite a coincidence tho, if you are looking for anything odd.

JMO
which is the coincidence, the reward or the shaman's prayer?
There exists not a screed of evidence suggesting anything nefarious about the search party that located her body.
there are lots of questions but this is not one in my mind.
Like, how come no tracks at all were discovered?
They had the best of searchers out there.
Not even a single footprint.
How come?
I watched several videos of those searches and I did SAR and they were all working correctly.
UNLESS, the shaman's prayer scared the living out of an abductor, but there is no evidence she was ever abducted.
Or if there is we have not seen it.

Nothing that I could find in the 27th either. I am scrubbing through and watching every few minutes to see if any is spoken in English, if it isn’t I scrub onwards until they change someone who is questioning or the witness.

The shaman's prayer.

Unless the reward was collected, in which case that too.

ETA I dont believe the searchers did anything "nefarious", certainly wasnt implying that at all.

"On arriving at the scene, I was led to the house where the girl was staying and asked a family member if they could provide anything for the dog to smell because we had no clue as to where to start," he said. "I was then provided some white attire, presumably worn by the missing girl, and I allowed the dog to sniff it to obtain a scent to begin tracking, and we started by searching the surrounding area at random.

"The search lasted about two hours and there was no positive indication (of the victim's scent) whatsoever," he added.

Fingerprints lifted from window of villa where Nora Quoirin disappeared

"I would say it (the four day operation) was done very thoroughly because most of the work was performed by the dog and we covered a lot of ground.

Simon also affirmed that the dog did not show any positive indication of a scent when brought to the window through which Nora was said to have left the house where she was staying.

I saw that but there are reports of shamans traveling there from much earlier in the search. I shared one link a few days ago..I cannot find it now. Might have been Murdoch rag, The Sun a report of shamans from different countries traveling to Malaysia to help in search.
On the night of the 12th the reward was announced, there is no evidence suggesting that either the reward announcement or the shaman's prayers directly led to the discovery of nora's body.
Therein lies the crux.

Hola Kitty,

The shaman joined the searches led by police from other countries in a joint exercise. I will find the link for you tomorrow.

Curioser and curioser.

Hola Kitty,

At the time my understanding was that there was a mega International coming together of shamanic practitioners. I was following it elsewhere where I had access to all the media reports. They permitted the police a video and they permitted photographs but it was a much bigger thing than a few shamans stepping in for a photo opportunity, almost like a worldwide effort. I'm not understanding why they didn't bring about the desired outcome and I'm not understanding why all the very experienced searchers and indigenous people were unable to bring it about either. They had the best. Nothin's gonna bring her back the kind of inquest I'd be preferrin' would be on these subjects.

Surely the bed linen that she had just slept in would have a stronger scent, seeing she was the first night in a hot tropical country?

It may have been the bed linen, he said 'something white' that she had worn.?
I have no idea what's going on here, and I couldn't even speculate if I wanted to..

I thought that he said apparel. Apparel is clothing, not linen.

It said white attire, which means clothes.

Edit- sorry, just seen that's already been mentioned

From Ruth's link above

SEREMBAN, Sept 4 — The inquest into the death of Irish-French teenager Nora Anne Quoirin at the Seremban Coroner’s Court has been adjourned to September 14, after a two-week hearing.

Coroner Maimoonah Aid, in making the postponement today, decided that two witnesses would be called to testify at the hearing on September 14.

Fourteen of the 64 witnesses lined up for the inquest have testified at the hearing since it began on August 24

I am wondering if some of the witnesses are just * possibles* - and might not be called.
We do see this happen sometimes in our UK cases.
Otherwise, this is going to be a very long inquest.

Rather strange that no scent was picked up at the window. I can appreciate that once they were searching outdoors and walking through the jungle vegetation, then scent may disappear / dissolve fast. But the window is fairly sheltered and concrete surround.

What if its a combination of Nora wandered outdoors (for whatever reason) by herself, got lost, someone local found her but strangely (for whatever reason) sheltered her.

no idea and no idea why they halted, possibly some witnesses unavailable until then? Article gave no indication of rationale.

No footprints and no scent, no matter what happened.. There should have been something.
