Looks like one-what’s your thinking?
I'm still having a hard time imagining Nora went all that way on her own.

What info do we have?
- Nora's body was lying on a rock near a river.
- There was also a makeshift hut about 50 metres from the body and the surrounding area was dense with vegetation," he said, describing the setting as being similar to an abandoned oil palm plantation.
- There were no visible hiking trails to reach the location where Nora's body was found
Nora Quoirin: Monk gave clues on where to find teen, inquest told

- The spot was hard to find and secluded
- Magenderan recalled how he and another volunteer had found the spot by following gunshots authorities used to signal their location on August 13, 2019
- The makeshift hut by the river is believed to be used by people who hunt birds in the area but no one was there when the searchers passed by
- There have been prior incidents of hikers going missing in the vicinity, who were later found alive
Nora Anne Quoirin inquest: Spot where teen’s body was found secluded and hard to reach, says witness | Malay Mail

- The resort owner said she could have been taken to a hut deep in the jungle but police only found a man sleeping there
Is this a totally different hut?
Nora Quoirin inquest is told police searched multiple houses during hunt | Daily Mail Online

The road that leads to the water purifying plant (see red circle) is an asphalt road. It's not some small trail or anything. Meaning that people make regular use of it and could/should have seen Nora (besides that one guy who was on his way to work).
How could Nora have reached there all by herself?

“A water treatment plant operator also told the Coroner’s Court he had seen a glimpse of a Caucasian girl bathing in a river the day Nora went missing.

Muhammad Kamarudin, said on the evening of August 4, he had been on his way to work for his evening shift.

“As I was heading towards my workplace on my motorcycle around 7pm that day, I saw a lone Caucasian girl bathing by the river to the right side of the road from an elevated position,” he told Coroner Maimoonah Aid.

But he added it was not unusual to see people bathing in the river.”

The water plant operator saw her in a river on his way to work. The river could be anywhere between the resort and the water treatment plant. It’s impossible to see the waterways due to the vegetation which is frustrating. I don’t think 1.5 miles is very far too walk over several days, especially when spread over the full day. I also believe and it has been mentioned before that she possibly walked along the water ways and rivers. If an area is difficult to reach, then it would be even more difficult to reach carrying a body.

The land to the right of the E8 is much flatter than the land to the left. Naturally a river follows the easiest route, and runs parallel along the road all the way to the lake further north at the water treatment plant.

That's odd. Something has gone wrong here: your map shows a wrong location for the Dusun!
The Dusun shouldn't be anywhere near the E8.
The Dusun is South East from Kuala Lumpur, whereas your map shows the area North East from KL!

I really feel like there will never be answers in this case. Nora was clearly more able bodied than we were first told. I believe she could and probably would have walked and walked, possibly trying to find her way back but instead becoming more and more lost. If she heard her mothers voice. When she was speaking directly to Nora she could have then followed the direction she thought the voice was coming from, however I think her voice was repeated over and over again from different directions wherever they were searching at the time which would have confused Nora even more, she could have been trying to follow her mothers voice but became so disoriented, distressed and confused she eventually just lay down, exhausted and probably fell to sleep praying that someone would find her there.

She shouldn’t have been in such a rural area on holiday though imo. My close friend’s son is autistic friend and if she ever took him somewhere like this, I know he would want to explore, his curiosity would get the better of him, he would want to see the waterfall we heard about, he would be eager to go on a little adventure of his own. But then he’s a couple of years younger than Nora and all children think differently .

We don’t know Nora’s thought process for sure, the same as we don’t know anyone’s thought process. It’s like when people say ‘he would never commit suicide’ or ‘she would never run away’ they are not absolutely solid facts. There’s a chance that she could have investigated something or just wanted to get a view of the sun rising but then got lost very quickly, panic set in and she walked in the direction she thought would get her back home, instead she ended up further away. Plagued with anxiety and hunger dehydration, paranoia could have set in too, along with eventual hallucinations. Add on people calling her name from all directions she would have been unable to determine what was real and what was hallucination. Hearing people approaching could have prompted her to hide herself, scared that these were ‘bad’ people who’d come to hurt her, when in reality it was rescuers. As the days went on her condition would have drastically declined, her mental state would be altered significantly. There’s no way of knowing if this happened but it’s a possibility when you add in her already known disabilities with being in such a dire situation I think her own fear and paranoia of who was looking for her was the reason she wasn’t found imo.

You are right, my mistake it’s a different resort. Will start again after work. Good job you noticed.
Edited to add- found the correct resort but the topography there is not showing well on google maps.

Awaiting November 11th, I have found some clear/sharp images of maps used by Malaysian police;

That is amazing work, thank you. I would only be guessing at the locations of each of those points, and has anyone worked out any specific locations within those zones yet???? I’m guessing the Dusun is in the top left zone, but could be wrong. They have however used km squares to create search’s rather than circular areas- which to me is odd. They searched the area she was found in more than once- so must have been one of the search zones- they went well beyond the 1.5 km distance that she was found at. Still not convinced it was anything but a tragic accident.

I have the impression that they started with zones 1 to 4 if you look at the sequence and location of the zones.
And that they added zones 5 and 6 later on.

As far as I can see, The Dusun is located in zone 3 (almost bordering with zone 1).
The water purifying plant is in zone 2.

That makes sense, they originally searched downhill and only when they found out she could walk further searched uphill.

In the afternoon, a police officer arrived at the resort but Meabh Quoirin, who is unable to attend the inquest in person due to the coronavirus, said he "didn't spend very much time there".

"He had a dog with him and we were initially hopeful - and then absolutely distraught because it was very obvious that this dog was not fit for purpose... really old, really tired."

Ms Quoirin said a policewoman sent to interview her had a poor command of English and authorities did not want to continue searching after dark on the first day of the hunt, although they eventually agreed.

Well I’m 2 hours into the 3.5 hours of YouTube. It’s a very interesting watch and lots of our initial questions are asked and answered. JMO there are quite a few contradictions both within the context of mums testimony and previous discussions in the questioning in the inquest already. Will watch the rest later tonight if I find time

If you are able to update us that would be fantastic - after all your hard work
