Imo, this is an example of dramatisation. AC & JL's testimony was bolstering SA's case, not hindering it. AC could have kept quiet about that phone call, but he didn't. Imo, it proves that he is not the corrupt person he is accused of.

What part of their depositions leads you to believe that they were angry with SA?
Colborn HAD to report the dang phone call because he knew, he was frickin busted..game over, done. If he didn't report that call and start to write a report covering his @$$ he'd be in bigger trouble than he was already in.
Not going back and forth or playing semantics on a bunch of petty nonsense every time a valid point is made or opinion is stated just to keep going back and forth.
Have a great day and Happy New Year😉

Culhane has no bearing on a witness who comes forward (or not). She has been described as lacking character and is called "a joke," so that's the discussion point. GA confessing does not factor into this and there's no context that needs to be added.

A DNA test is either valid or invalid. It either nets a result or it's inconclusive. DNA testing did not yet exist at the time of the PB rape trial. Can't hold a serologist responsible for technology not existing yet. When she tested the blood of SA for his exoneration she got a result and that result was compared to evidence gathered in the PB rape kit (a hair in which DNA could be extracted). The testing showed the truth because the technology existed in which to get to a far greater level of scientific certainty. It was, I believe, what freed SA from prison.
Geeze Madeleine I didn't mean to hurt your feelings as I didn't realize Culhane or her work mattered this much to you.
I get it..if you are as passionate about her as I am about Zellner.
I'll be a bit more considerate & choose my words more carefully.
This case, ugh.

:goodpost:Absolutely correct. The lawsuit was a huge embarrassment to local law enforcement in general, not just the individuals involved. IMO, "the wall of blue silence" was at play.
Absolutely it was!

I suppose if this case goes any further, we might see the rest of the evidence left out of the first trial.
Now THAT would be something to actually lol about😀

I think both Strang & Buting are smart, qualfied, and competent defense attorneys who vigorously advocate for their clients. An attorney, even the best of the best, can only work with what they've got, and that's what Strang & Buting did, to the best of their ability.
Do you think Wisconsin's Denny law hindered S&B ability to do their job and provide the best defense possible?

You have provided a link to a blog where the author readily admits he/she doesn't have a lot of info.

Rather than posting different links, here is one that provides extensive information about the EDTA tests along with facts about previous cases and sources are provided so you can read them for yourself.

http://stevenaverycase.com/blood-edta-test-explained#old

Saying "no reliable track record" is a little misleading imo. There is very little demand for this test because there aren't that many cases where LE have been accused of planting the defendant's blood. In both cases, where you will read about at the above link, have erred in favour of the defendent, not the Prosecution. Therefore, if this test was so unreliable, why did it not produce a positive result of EDTA like the other previous two cases?

At that link you will come to another link to the Journal of Analytic Toxicology. I have posted it before but it was ignored. The scientist explains all about the procedure and finishes off with stating that this test is a credible source to use in court. It was peer reviewed prior to this case which is probably why it was deemed credible by the court. It is the most credible source floating around the internet regarding the EDTA imo.
Is this the same one Missy went over a while back?
If so, it wasn't ignored. Just no track record to show it works.

Independent proven track record VS
Peer reviews
Not the same, are they??
I was asking OBC a question. LOL I have had this same discussion with SA supporters before and they tried to convince me that he was ok with being wrongfully locked up. I don't agree with that.

But he didn't talk to Teresa, nor did he leave a voice message.

He needed Teresa to come to the property. A "throwaway" phone was not going to benefit him. She would have answered the call, realised it was him, and not accepted imo. I wish he did use a throwaway phone or didn't hide is number. She would have made it home safe that day imo.
Not answered the call of a man..a customer she did business with up to 15 times??

Can you please link to the clip of Buting "stuttering"?
I'd love to see it, had no clue he had a stutter😞
Who knew?

Lets not forget, they knew SA was in the apeal process when they got that call.

Colborn told Lenk about the call, and a note about that convo was written in SA's file.

So OF COURSE a "report" had to be written!

It wasn't a case of "honesty". They needed for it to look like they didn't illegally withhold evidence that was pertinent to that appeal. (but that's exactly what they (knowingly, purposefully and with plenty of malice) did, in fact, do!

Hi Dex!!!

You make a very good point. Why set it up for her to come to his place? Familiarity, perhaps. But that just brings LE to your doorstep. Why not follow her home? Why not follow her for days and then make your move? Why summons her to your place, knowing full well LE will be at your doorstep in minutes~~because of the $36m lawsuit.
Well thank ya, my friend❤
Happens every once in a while. ( I'll make a very good point ) You know how it is😉 House, hubby, children & all that that implies😴 Throw in all the extra's..
Need a nap just thinking about it!

Yeah, leading law enforcement to your front door and handing over evidence on a silver platter that screams " I did it! It was me! " AFTER all of those years in prison??
Just another piece of this coincidentally convenient story that does not make much sense

So far as 'reconstructing the crime' goes, the best clues seem to me to be the following:

A) blood splatter on the back door of the RAV4

B) tracking dogs follow Teresa's scent at the gravel pit

Both of these suggest to me the attack took place outdoors when Teresa was near her vehicle.

IIRC, The dog had interest in two spots in the junkyard, the intersection of the conveyor system in the southwest corner and a tall weeded area in the northwest corner of the lot. These areas I marked for further investigation.

If the conveyor system is in the southwest corner of the lot, then SA's house is in the NW corner of the lot. What is interesting is that the only weeded area is the area that goes toward the deer camp.

Tell me~~according to the KK version or even BrD version~~how was TH's scent picked up back there by that weeded area by the berm in back of SA's house? There was nothing in the narrative to indicate she was anywhere near that berm. But I bet if BrD was told she was near the berm~~that too would have been in his confession.

OH wait~~BrD conveniently forgot that in his confession. First we took her by the berm, then we placed her in the car, then onto the creeper, then in the fire.

What is not IMHO, is from CASO reports.

going along with B... I would add that trailer that I believe is no longer a the deer camp.

Myself, I would add:

C) The quarry where the 'not sure if it's human' pelvic bone was found.

D) Cell phone pings and how/why her last call was put to CFNA (call forward no answer), and who was that last call from.

So, somehow not talking to Teresa, nor leaving any message, contributed to this 'luring'?

Yeah that sounds nonsensical IMO. Why would Avery have to lure TH at all when she had been out there multiple times on business dealings with him before. He had no need to lure her.

Thank you. You're too kind. I'm going to try hard not to let this validation get to my head.

This thread is so fast-paced, look away fro a couple of days and it seams near impossible to catch up but I finally have.

Thanks for your input ILoveDateline
( I love it too )
Your explanation for the *67 is 100% LOGICAL & the BEST I have heard to date

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

I concur! ILoveDateline's explanation is simply the best.

This is exactly what I was thinking, but I wasn't able to articulate it. Thank you ILoveDateline! Makes perfect sense. I find If things don't add up, and are not making sense, then it is not the truth. Truth is pretty strait forward generally...The pretzels people are twisting themselves into, to view those calls as sinister, do not make sense to me.
