I don't think KL has any alias At least not according to his police records in Phoenix and Wisconsin.

I was googling around and ran across an archived post board thread from 2005. On the thread, they were using that watchdog sex offender website, then copy/pasting their results to the thread....KL was listed on one guys post who was running his search in Phoenix. (along with 200 and some odd others. Phoenix seems to be the place to go if you're into little girls. The apartment building that was listed as his residence had 17 registered offenders) I went to the website and tried to find him but he's no longer on there. Thought I was going to get a photo. How could he be a registered sex offender in 2005, and not a registered sex offender in 2008? Is that possible? I do have an old address on him from it, if anyone would think it would do any good.

The link to the ring pics is now in the photo section...

didn't I read something here about KL not being required to register as a sex offender, or am I on crack? Maybe that's something that he was trying to bargain for during his many arrests...or maybe I'm mixing this up with another case.

I'm really disappointed that LE didn't interview people at the Crossland Extended Stay back in 1999 (at least, I don't remember reading it in the police report). That just seems like it would've been a logical place to start--it's much harder to go back and ask these questions of them now. It might have been a key to cracking this case.

KL doesn't have to register as a sex offender. The first charges he had in Phoenix were dismissed. The LE might have went to the hotel I don't think we have the complete police report. There are no missing girls in Iowa or in Nebraska that match MJD I have always thought she came from Wisconsin with KL. The detectives also asked KL if he knew Kansas City Slim and he said no. I don't think KL was from KC or was ever there If you follow his police records you can see he spent his time in Phoenix and Wisconsin.

Ok. May have been a different person with the same name in that area, but there WAS a KL on that registry in 2005. Not there now though.

I think am totally on to something here in terms of information and a pic of KL. It appears he MIGHT have been a co-owner of an entertainment company. I'm researching this further before I throw it out there, but I have a feeling this is a VERY good lead... I'll let you know what I find....

Found the AZ Republic article in which KTL was arresting in pimping a 13 year old girl.. get this.. they have his middle name as CERRELL not TERRELL. Even with the KC before taken to mean Kansas City, it still makes me wonder. The article is from March 1999, so the 13 year old is not our MJD. =/

I'll post here with permission (needs valid Phx library card to access, otherwise its public). Same as before, printed and saved to a text file.

There is a purse shown in one of those pictures. A small, black, leather-type purse.

Has this been proven to be LDJ's or is this THE purse we think was MJD's?!?!?

You could summarize the points into a post and you should be fine. :)

Nice angle Dee! Now that I think about it, money laundering was among the charges and the only way I know of to launder money is to feed it through a "legitimate" business. Entertainment company huh? I don't think I look surprised. If there's something I can help you with on that angle let me know. Be happy to help you snoop around because I think tracing KL's movements and activities is the key.

Ok, here are what seem to be the main points of the story:

-Kelly Cerell Lipsey, 26 years old, arrested for pimping a 13 year old girl.

-Referred to as "Uncle Kelly" by the girl - doesn't appear to be a blood Uncle though.

-Girl came from a troubled home - frequent runaway - finally ran away from a home for juveniles. She met Lipsey on the streets in Milwaukee.

-She stated Lipsey brought her and 3 others to Phoenix, AZ. Promising he would take care of her, but she would have to work for him.
.. The 2nd girl they found, 17 years old, claimed she herself was not a prostitute.
.. At the date of writing (March 2, 1999) the other 2 girls had not been found yet.

-Initially afraid to speak up because Lipsey has a lot of 'friends' back in WI - if he himself didn't hurt her, they might.

You could summarize the points into a post and you should be fine. :)

Re. those crime scene photos:

I did see the purse in the backseat of the car - wow!

Why are the condoms on top of the clothes that were cut off by EMS? Did she have them stashed on herself somewhere or something?

What is that cord-type thing that is next to her clothes on the road?

Re. those crime scene photos:

I think that's the front seat, as the backseat was full of LDJ and AF's possessions. I wonder if LDJ "claimed" that purse or even if LE searched it! If not, maybe it ended up in the hands of LDJ and AF!!!
SP said that he saw a purse "stuffed with condoms" with MJD, but the only purse I see on the crime scene is in the Cadillac and it doesn't appear to be scuffed as if it hit the ground or anything like that...

Why are the condoms on top of the clothes that were cut off by EMS? Did she have them stashed on herself somewhere or something?
No idea on the condoms. Maybe she had pockets in her skirt? The shirt looked really torn up. Poor girl. I also remember someone saying that MJD's panties were tangled in her shirt. I don't see panties tangled in with the shirt though... Maybe it was a leotard-type shirt?

What is that cord-type thing that is next to her clothes on the road?
That appears to be a bungee-cord, used to tie things down. IDK if it came out of the car with her, or if she got tangled in it when she hit the ground. Usually they have two hooks on the ends to use to attach the bungee cord. I'm thinking maybe it was already on the shoulder when she fell/jumped/was pushed...

Gosh, I know this is wishful thinking BUT if we could find these girls, maybe we can find out if MJD was one of the girls that came with them............. I wonder if we put an ad in Milwaukee Craig's List and see if either of them come forward... Ya never know...

My guesses are :
1. That was the front seat.
CORRECTON
It was probably Lindsey's, as she had told the police officer that was taking her to the hospital, that all of her things were in the car. That would have been WAAYYY too obvious to miss, and the police would have had it for 2 more days.

2. The bungee cord - just a guess, being used as a belt? or maybe it was already on the side of the road.

3. A few have asked about the missing or non-existent panties - they're there with what's left of the shirt. That's them on the right.

Ok, I've got a question for the mods. If I found information that KTL is a co-owner of a business, can I post it here? Or do I have to "X" out the other co-owners names and/or the business name? I'm pretty sure KTL is no longer a co-owner as he's not listed on their site as currently being a co-owner, but I have information that he may have been at one point.

I also found a myspace for this business. I need some advice here, mods! :)

The 13 year old that they questioned was turned over to Dept. of Juvenile Corrections who were contacting Wisconsin authorities. No mention of what happened to her after that or what happened to the 17 year old, and because both of them were minors, I think there's some sort of parental consent needed to publish their names.

Although, because the 13 year old was in a group home the last time she ran away, maybe she went right back into the system. She'd be about 21-22 +/- by now.

That is a black purse in the front seat. Where did it go to? I am sure Lindsey had her purse with her! I also noticed the hand prints on the roof of the car. I wonder if Alonzo isn't in the picture with all of the detectives that is blurry??

If the only purse visible at the scene is in the front seat of the car, how did Shane know about it? o_O

The only plain clothes person I see is wearing the black/white checkered shirt and appears at BOTH scenes. Chances are that's a plain clothes detective since he doesn't appear to be in any detainee type situation.
