anyone want to take over for an hour? need to take a run to let off some steam re Mark and his fake attitude in the courtroom....
Wish I could but I am at juggling verifications and emails right now. There is no way I can keep up with the tweets too. Take a long break and don't worry about it. We will live!

Mummert is asking Van Waus about a training course she took in 2017. She took an hour an a half webinar on the uncertainty of error rates, she said. Van Waus also took a 40 hour class on blood stain pattern analysis, she said.

There was money throughout the house, but Investigator Van Waus said the north master bedroom closet in the house totaled about $50,000.

Bloodstains on top of freezer wasn't tested? Laundry room tub and blood on floor? Investigator Van Waus needs to review her submission to answer with any certainty.

Another sidebar. It going to be so hard to be on this jury. It takes patience and focus. I know it's necessary to go over the crime scene carefully, but the crux of this trial we know is Mark arranging, setting up, and paying for this horrible crime to happen.

Thanks to everyone for posting the trial updates in this case.

I have not been able to follow this case too much but I did learn about what happened and I do hope justice is served. I will be checking in as often as I can and I appreciate the coverage from our WS members.

“Destination trial”, akin to to ‘destination weddings’.

It did not appear that anyone tried to move the body of Dr. Sievers.

Now discussing the dog bowls and if anyone tried to move them.

They're bouncing around asking so many questions. Shooting questions
at her and not willing to respect Inspector Van Waus's answer, or so it
seems to me just a tactic.

Jurors dismissed for day.

Help please, I don't quite understand. Notes that were possibly from the Jimmy Rodgers trial were in the notebooks left for jurors in this trial and an alternate juror might have seen the notes. ????? Almost caused a mistrial?

ETA -- OMG, this was a big deal as I read all your posts going forward!

Watched a little of the trial coverage and I hope this trial is not going to turn into another Jodi Arias "Sidebar Extravaganza". The clip I saw had no less than 6 attorneys at sidebar in front of the judge and then shortly after that another sidebar.

I know sidebars are needed but surely not like the Jodi Arias case when it seemed like more than half the trial was spent with the lawyers talking to the judge rather than the jury.

An issue with a jury-- who found writing in the back of their notebook. The jury reported it was not read and turned it over to the court. It's handled for now. Back tomorrow. #trialtweets #TeresaSievers #NBC2CourtCoverage #MarkSieversontrial

Van Waus didn't see anything that warranted her to take any samples from the area of the garage near the motorcycle, Van Waus said.

There were notes in one jurors notebook on the back pages, that were two headers from jury deliberations in the Rodgers trial. The juror brought the notes to the courts attention. Both sides decided that they have no objection to the juror. They are going to address the jurors tomorrow and have all of them check their notebooks and give any notes that don’t belong to them to the bailiff.

Okay, that's it for the #SieversTrial today. Jurors were just released and asked to return in the morning.

When asked by Ross, Van Waus said investigators have to use discretion when sending samples of DNA to be tested by the FDLE. There is a limit on the number of buccal swabs they can send to the FDLE at a time, she said.

The judge is very visibly upset about this.

#SieversTrial - The juror says he did not read the notes on the last two pages. Judge had the pages ripped out of the notebook and will ask the remaining jurors tomorrow morning to look and the end of their notebooks for notes that might not be theirs.

#SieversTrial - One of the juror's notebooks had writing on the last pages that is not the current juror HOWEVER, they are notes from a juror from the RODGERS' trial and they are notes about deliberations.

#SieversTrial - Crime scene tech wrote in her report that based on reviewing the blood evidence, patterns found in the laundry room tub that it appeared the suspect (s) attempted to clean up. Wright testified in Rodgers' trial that they did not clean up after the murder.

#SieversTrial - Crime scene tech is testifying about blood in the home. There was a pool a blood next to Teresa Sievers' body and spots of blood on top of the freezer and the piece of luggage in the garage. None of it was tested.

That's all for the questioning of the crime scene tech. She was on the stand for roughly 3 hours and could be called another time. Jury sent home for the night, this will all pick back up tomorrow morning. #SieversTrial @winknews

Crime scene tech just testified she did not see anything that warranted any testing around motorcycle in Sievers' garage. Curtis Wayne Wright testified in #RodgersTrial he was looking at the motorcycle when Teresa "unexpectedly" came home, moments before she was killed. @winknews
