Van Waus also fingerprinted the vehicle and tested the vehicle for blood.

The Hyundai Elantra was rented by Curtis Wayne Wright Jr. in the summer of 2015.

The tests looking for blood were inconclusive, Van Waus said.

Van Waus collected evidence from the Sievers' pets.

She collected DNA and hair from two dogs and one cat.

The idea was to see if the hair or DNA matched any found in the car Wright allegedly rented that was brought back from Arizona.

Defense Attorney Michael Mummert is now cross examining Van Waus.

She didn't do the testing so she isn't sure if any of the hairs from the car were cat or dog hairs, Van Waus said.

She contacted Jimmy Rodgers at the Collier County Jail. She took hair and other DNA samples from Rodgers while at the jail, Lusk said.

Sands said he was made aware of surveillance video from a Walmart on Six Mile Cypress Parkways in Fort Myers that needed to be pulled in relation to the Teresa Sievers murder investigation.
