Defense wrapped with Shomaker.

Defense and state both done with Shomaker. She's been retained by defense subject to recall. State requested to approach. I'm guessing about her flights.

"It's the right thing to do," Shomaker said when asked why she testified today. She would have come here today even if law enforcement wasn't helping her with rent, Shomaker said. "They did threaten you, correct," Mummert asks. Shomaker said yes.

Shomaker is released from the stand, but is retained by the defense and may be recalled.

The #SieversTrial is on a lunch break until 1:20 p.m.

Judge Kyle asked the state and defense if they are waiving sequestration for the guilt phase, both agreed.

Whoa, what body language and smirk by Jimmy Ray Rogers attorney in court when the defense attorney asked about $10,000, and getting $55,000 from Crime Stoppers for prosecution. She was like a Cheshire Cat and I did not get a very good screenshot but she was very happy that came out. M o o

Right around that time, she and the woman sitting next to her exchanged glances and smiled at each other. Definitely a rewind opportunity.

She came into court right when the defense was up for Taylor.

I thought in the last trial she said she was never threatened.

In this trial she just said a few minutes back that she was threatened with law enforcement taking her children.

   Mitchell is a physician, who was friends with Dr. Teresa Sievers. The two met in Jacksonville in 1996, Mitchell said.
   
   "We became lifelong friends," Mitchell said.

   The prosecution's next witness is Dr. Bethany Mitchell.
   
   I believe she is the first witness not to have testified during the Jimmy Rodgers trial last month.
