I hope cell phone analysis doesn't mean 3 hours of cell phone pings of the ride down to FL. I may be exaggerating regarding 3 hours, but it sure felt like it during the JRR trial. Zzzzz

2 jurors had to raise their hands that "something" had happened last night and the judge questioned both of them. Both females. First said she was doing something for work on her work computer (looking up her employers' rules about returning to work if they are excused early for the day) and something popped up and in one of the "four squares" she saw the name Jimmy Ray Rodgers and immediately closed the window.

The second one, God bless her, was so upset. She said she went to work yesterday afternoon and many coworkers kept saying stuff to her (I guess asking her if it was this trial she was on) and she just kept saying she can't talk about it. She seemed to be crying .

The judge was very nice to both and thanked them for their honesty. They are both still on the jury. The defense asked one question of the second juror - if anything her coworkers said to her would impact her final decision in this case. She said no.

Judge giving them a few minutes before bringing them back. Said second juror might need a minute to compose herself.

7mThe first juror said she briefly saw something when working to find out if she needed to return to work. She said she only saw the name #jimmyrayrodgers on a website and immediately closed it. She's fine.

Second juror in tears. She said she went to work after early release. She said people were trying to figure out where she's been and what case she is on.

Juror was extremely honest and said only wanted to do the right thing in going to work because of the half day. This solidifies earlier thoughts that this juror is following directions to a "T".

  Chambers is asked about process of buying and activating tracfones. State shows him some records of a phone that was purchased and activated at a Walmart in Naples in Florida. Asks him to confirm that the records are correct.

  State has called Myra Simmons next. She is newly retired from LCSO. She worked there as analyst. State asks if she ever analyzed phone records, she says yes. In fact, she was asked to analyzed phone records in the case shortly after Teresa Sievers was killed.

Simmons says while working with LCSO, she used cell phone towers/records to determine that in May 2015 Mark Sievers used tracfone with CA area code to communicate with someone. Records show that phone was purchased at a Walmart in Naples.

   Jurors are now looking a bird's eye photo of Wright's home in Missouri. There is a cell tower close by.
   
   On May 17, 2015, Wright's personal cell and "burner phone" pinged in the same area, Simmons said.

The phone with the 404 number traveled from Missouri down to Bonita Springs, Florida, Simmons said.

The same physical phone was in Missouri near Wright's residence on May 17, 2015 then in Bonita Springs on June 28, Simmons said.

   Simmons is now talking about a text sent from Mark Sievers' personal phone to Wright's personal phone that said hello brother from an "other" mother.
   
   Simmons thought this might have been a signal to use the burner phones and the burner phone records corroborated this.

Jurors are now looking at a map that shows Mark Sievers' personal phone and "burner phone" pinged off the same tower many times between May 17, 2015, and June 28, 2015.

The 858 number never left Southwest Florida, Simmons said.

Jurors are now looking at a map that shows a phone with a 573 area code traveled from Missouri to Florida and back between June 27 and June 29, 2015.

This phone belonged to Jimmy Rodgers and pinged near the Sievers' home in Bonita Springs, Simmons said.

State shows Myra some records, she confirms they show both burner phones being activated, burner phones communicating with each other (between FL and MO). They also show Wright’s and Sievers burner phones both pinging near Sievers home at different times during summer of 2015.
