McGregor Scott, Jaycee Lee Dugard's Attorney

  • #61
She had the strength to survive and still smile and give her girls the love of a mother and attempt to educate them when she only had a 5th grade education. When push came to shove when they all showed up, she held her ground and did not waiver until Mr. G gave it up and they told her. No, she has a strong personality. It will take time for her to not want to see them again even though she knows what they did.

Personalities are partially there at birth and firmed up in the younger years. The teen years just clarifies the personality. She was a happy child and the abuse she went through did not destroy that. IMHO

im sure if she was making noise about seeing them it would be all over the place.

Not only that...
A person who is captive for so long reacts from fear not strength. not to say she did not have the will to survive, because she sure did.
But :waitasec: you don't suddenly fire your attorney who happens to be a good one and was hired by the family.
There is a huge difference in a smile and having time in a back yard to teach. yes she deserves respect for that and acknowledgement but it is apples and oranges. That poor girl is just learning how to make a decision.
She has strength begs to differ.
What kind of strength when and where? would be the question.
I have strength in lots of arenas but not all, and I was never captive.

After living like a lady with her children and having what she deserves and learning that those people
ripped her off...She would fire her attorney because she wants to see them??? sorry but that sounds insane

Well, I think the news articles we read today confirmed that he's no longer representing her, but I'm not sure we'll ever find out why. It's probably not our business, but still, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a wee bit curious.

:blushing: It used to be that everyone, including me thought it would take a long time for her to not want to see him. Guess we were wrong. :)

You still have those :) that has not changed.

I think maybe having the babies kept her sane. She had a source of real love. And now she is a mother, allowed to be a mother, I think she will do everything in her power to keep her girls safe. And her mom has had time to negate all the lies Phil must have told Jaycee.
