52-year-old Brian Keith Wallen of Lutherville was reported missing last month in Baltimore County is wanted in a multimillion-dollar mail-fraud case that allegedly targeted thousands of businesses and non-profit organizations.

Police started searching for Wallen on April 28 after his attorney called them to say he received what seemed like a goodbye letter from Wallen. At Wallen's home on Wyngate Road, police found a suicide note. They also discovered Wallen's locked silver Jeep at the Loch Raven Reservoir.

A Lutherville man wanted by the FBI in connection with a $50 million telemarketing scam was found dead Sunday in the woods near Loch Raven Reservoir, confirmed Baltimore County police on Thursday.

Brian Keith Wallen, 52, is believed to have committed suicide.

Back in April, the FBI says that Brian Wallen left a suicide note and abandoned his car at the Loch Raven Reservoir in an effort to throw investigators off.

But the FBI thinks Wallen is still very much alive and on the run.

Looks like the FBI were wrong, then!

His body was found by hikers in a heavily wooded area east of Dulaney Valley Road, about half a mile from the Villa Maria School. Police had found his silver Jeep about a mile from the scene on April 28, when they also found a suicide note at his home.
