I don't want to hijack this thread but I would like to say that these kids you refer to, their troubles didn't begin when they started on Anti-depressants. They were troubled kids before the meds.. so, to me, I think it is much more likely that the meds didn't work for them and their illness (whatever that illness may be) progressed to the point of murder.
I understand what studies are saying about anti-depressants and I also understand that the FDA has to put out a Black box warning when giving Anti-depressants to kids, which I think is the right thing to do. But I tend not to have blind trust in studies.
If something works and I am affected by it, my entire life changed from it, there is no study they can publish that can convince me it doesn't work as it should.
Anyway- I'm sorry your nephew had an ikky reaction to his ADD meds, it sucks when you get your hopes up that something will help a person you love but then it doesn't!
