Howard County police are asking for the public’s help to locate Ethan Adeyemi, 2, in Elkridge. Ethan was last seen running from family members outside his residence in the 7800 block of Blue Stream Drive at approximately 10:20 p.m. after following an adult out of the house.

• His family contacted police when they could not immediately locate him.
• Ethan is believed to be on the spectrum but has not been formally diagnosed due to his age.
• He is non-verbal but will clap in response to his name.
• Police and fire personnel, including K9 units, are searching the area.
• Aircraft, including HCPD drones and helicopters are currently grounded due to weather.
• Ethan is described as a black male, short for his age, last seen wearing burgundy sweatpants and a blue sweatshirt with white writing. He is not wearing socks or shoes.

Area residents are asked to turn on exterior lights and check their properties. Anyone with information should call 911.

Washington Boulevard is Route 1, which is a 5 lane major road through this area. These are very upscale townhomes. There is what appears to be a retention pond at the intersection, but shouldn’t have much water in it right now. However, we are expected to get 2-3 inches of rain over the next couple of days, so it will fill up.

The home he ran from is about halfway up Blue Stream from Washington Boulevard, so are they saying that he ran toward the major road? If so, there are also businesses, medical building and strip malls. If he went the opposite direction from the house, there is a bigger pond on the opposite side of the street with a small wooded area with I-95 on the opposite side. There is a large business park at the end of Blue Stream in this direction. Praying that he went toward Route 1 and just hunkered down in the neighborhood!

Poor lil buddy has no socks or shoes on 5 lane highway... I don’t think he’d run towards that, but away from yes....are there porches & parking garages near these town homes? Parks?
Somewhere for him to take cover?

The townhomes (At least some) have individual garages in the back with a balcony overhang. Unless someone left theirs open, though, it wouldn’t provide a ton of shelter. The neighborhood is new builds.
