I just wonder sometimes what nonsense would come out of my mouth if i was put in a horrible position like this little old lady. I really doubt that I would make too much sense.

It sounds like the family is in denial, not willing to admit one of their own could do such a thing. It mentions there being bite marks on her chest and thigh, I would think with as much evidence they won't have a problem proving who did it. These types of injuries don't happen from a fan falling on you!
It also sounds like neighbors know of problems with the family and there being issues with violence, the police were called earlier this month but no report filed. Also her 7 year old brother was there so he was probably a witness to some of what went on. Poor thing. I have a feeling there's a lot more to this story that can come out as far as the dynamics of the family.

I think you're right about there being a lot more that will come out. I'm beginning to think, judging by the great grandmother's statemtents that the boy might really be the victim's cousin.

Maybe she really doesn't know him. I mean I dont know how they knew the boy but he is a murderer I know that much! Since they pulled her off the life support can they still charge him with murder???

That poor sweet baby girl, what a horrible crime this is. Why are there people in this world that are capable of doing these things? Because there are so many people who make it their every day mission to remove God from all things earthly. I love God, I treat people with care, even when I come across someone who is rude or not so nice....I do not think to myself, I will kill them. That is not God's way. This is just too sad for words.
I hope he gets the death penalty, but being only 15 my guess is he will escape it and do this again someday...

No DP for juveniles. Although after crimes like this, I wonder if we shouldn't be allowing it.

BALTIMORE (WJZ) ― A teen convicted of sexually assaulting and murdering a 4-year-old learned Monday how he'll pay for the crime.
WJZ

The family of a 4-year-old girl raped and killed says it finally got justice.

Adam May reports the convicted killer, barely a teenager at the time, will spend the rest of his life locked up.

On Monday, 17-year-old Ronald Hinton could be seen leaving court after receiving his sentence of life in prison.

He's convicted of raping and killing 4-year-old Ja'Niya Williams in 2006.

Hinton's sentence of life plus 25 years is hard for his family to accept.
