I wanted to add something important I came across while digging into Lisa’s case.
Maryland Judiciary Case Search shows that in 1997 there were two Baltimore cases for a Lisa Lambert, DOB 12/2/1964 — the exact same birthday as Lisa. The case numbers are 4B00178175 (District Court, filed Feb 1997) and 297097055 (Circuit Court, filed Apr 1997). The address on file was 1902 E. 29th Street, which is the same block as Lisa’s childhood home in 1979. An alias is also listed: “Rhonda Lambert.”
What’s more, records show she was bailed out by a relative at the time. That seems like a very strong indication this was the same person, not just a coincidence.
Yet, Lisa remains listed in NamUs as a missing person to this day. Her family’s obituaries in 2001 (sister), 2004 (stepfather), and 2013 (mother) all listed her as surviving, and her mother even said in a 2009 TV interview that she believed Lisa was alive.
It looks like the disappearance file was never reconciled with the court records. I’ve started filing Public Information Act requests for her booking photo/fingerprint card to see if it confirms what the docket already suggests.
