I have the impression that she ran away... maybe with someone who offered her something interesting... maybe she is in Canada far from the highway of tears...
whatever the case
rest in peace

I wanted to add something important I came across while digging into Lisa’s case.

Maryland Judiciary Case Search shows that in 1997 there were two Baltimore cases for a Lisa Lambert, DOB 12/2/1964 — the exact same birthday as Lisa. The case numbers are 4B00178175 (District Court, filed Feb 1997) and 297097055 (Circuit Court, filed Apr 1997). The address on file was 1902 E. 29th Street, which is the same block as Lisa’s childhood home in 1979. An alias is also listed: “Rhonda Lambert.”

What’s more, records show she was bailed out by a relative at the time. That seems like a very strong indication this was the same person, not just a coincidence.

Yet, Lisa remains listed in NamUs as a missing person to this day. Her family’s obituaries in 2001 (sister), 2004 (stepfather), and 2013 (mother) all listed her as surviving, and her mother even said in a 2009 TV interview that she believed Lisa was alive.

It looks like the disappearance file was never reconciled with the court records. I’ve started filing Public Information Act requests for her booking photo/fingerprint card to see if it confirms what the docket already suggests.

Interesting information. But if Lisa is incarcerated and bailed out by relatives, why would her mother seem unaware of that fact?

I found Lisa's mother's obituary (2013). There is a sister (deceased) mentioned but no brother. However, Lisa's step-father had several sons. The obituary indicates that Lisa M. Lambert survives her mother. Her sister's obituary lists Lisa as a surviving sister. Of course, all of this may be because the family keeps hope alive by not referring to her as deceased.

I find it really intriguing that her sister's obituary lists her date of death as 10/17/2001, 22 years to the day (10/17/1979) after Lisa went missing. There is quite a bit of confusion surrounding her disappearance so this coincidence feels off.

Also, I can't find Lisa on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

I looked in the Maryland judiciary case search and found cases for Lisa's sister. The DOB was accurate, so I don't think it's likely that Lisa's sister was using Lisa as an alias, since she had her own record her address matches Lisas.

The person who bailed out Lisa Lambert wasn't just a relative, he was a brother to her mother (at least according to the mother's obituary and his own obituary for that matter); which makes her mother's comments even more enigmatic.
