Matthew McGehrin, 33, was reported missing Nov. 6 and was last seen Friday, Oct. 25. He disappeared from the 200 block of Colbert Street in Taneytown. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and 190 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He was said to be wearing gray sweatpants with a blue and gray hooded jacket, white tennis shoes and a baseball hat.

The link that says “Missing In Maryland” is there a thread on WS about this? I wonder if the MSP or another crime unit are looking into a possible serial killer. What’s interesting is that note than half of the locations of these missing people are located off of I-70 & 695, which are major highways in Maryland that also connect to I-95, 1-81, 270 & more. Additionally there are a few locations that are off of another major highway in MD; 270 (as mentioned above) that is connected to the ICC (intercounty connector) which practically connects all of the above, minus I-70 (although that does connect with 695 & 270) but it’s kind of out of the way of the other locations. So most of these locations & that area are basically a giant loop around the DC Metropolitan area. This should definitely be looked into.

Older case from 2019.

I was checking if any news but just got confused (which is nothing new for me!). Sorry.

When I looked at Bryan Matthew McGehrin I found a 2017 article with that name and a photo that looks like the same person (check the facial hair - what are the chances someone else would wear it exactly the same?) but it says he was sentenced to 40 years back then:

"A Maryland man has been sentenced to 40 years behind bars after he was found to have violated his probation on three separate armed robbery charges.

Bryan McGehrin was sentenced Monday, after being found guilty of two counts of felony theft, one count of motor vehicle theft, and one count of conspiracy to commit motor vehicle theft.

Is this NOT the same person? If it is, I'm lost - in 2019 wouldn't LE have known he was already incarcerated since 2017? What am I missing?
