In a politically incorrect world, the word t.h.u.g might be interpreted to refer to a person of a particular "skin tone".

I strongly disagree.

IMO, a t.h.u.g. is anyone who engages in criminal activity, regardless of ethnicity. I don't believe it needs to be a censored word.

The Mayor of Baltimore (who is an AA female) used the term several times tonight in her press conference. I seriously doubt she would have used the term if it inferred a racial slur.

Well, then perhaps you can PM a mod about it since I did not make the rule.

But honestly, we live in the real world and YES, that T word is the new N word. I have also read arguments saying the N word means loser people of any color. But it does not. It means black folks.

In any case, there is a good reason that word is not allowed.

We use slug in the USA, too. Totally different word. Slug is not censored by WS. The other word is. So, yeah.

I really do not know, but, calling Al Sharpton to a riot is a riot. No pun at all.

As a small restaurant owner, aka. Small business owner... I would spend the next years of my life getting this Mayor out of office.

I'm all for moving past the use of "that word". I wasn't aware it was not allowed until reading posts about it. If that's the rule here I can abide. Doesn't really matter compared to the issue we are watching unfold. IMO

The senior center on fire appears to have been about four floors in height. I suspect it was of wood construction and under construction. These type of structures are like tinderboxes when under construction. Very sad loss.
