Wasn't 2:30 the time PB had a hair appointment scheduled or was that the time someone was supposed to pick her up for a hair appointment?

I am not clear if PB had an appointment, or if she was trying to make one. But I have not seen any report of an actual time for the appointment. Lots of reports about KB or DB texting back and forth with PB about an appointment. And PB texting KB to come pick her up, before PB's phone stopped picking up.

I would really like to hear that LE has phone records for everyone, and is connecting the dots.

I don't have much to add except, (as far as the Vodka & pot) I think the only reason the mother was told about it is b/c (the pics are posted on FB) by one of MJ's younger brothers. The mother probably went and saw those pics after PB came up missing.

DB had all day (Tues) that she herself could have phoned or text her sister PB to check on her. DB had time to text her boyfriend MJ, certainly, she would have text her very own sister (it would seem). Why was PB sleep @ 1:30pm? She must have been up all night long. Yet, DB had to work early on Tues. Who was PB up all night with. But, we know she had to awake before 1:30pm if she wrote on her FB she was hungry. Why would she go back to sleep if she was so hungry?

I'm wondering, who all was at the apt on (Tues) while DB was @ work? While researching on twitter, I noticed one of MJ brothers said he was at K house (the date says Dec 28th). I wondered if he was talking about KB (and I forgot what time the tweet was).

On FB, I can tell things were okay for the most part with PB on Dec 27th (from reading a thread one of her sisters typed on) the sister was telling some-one that she was chilling with her family member who was in town. Some-one asked; "who PB", she said (yes) and proceeded to say, "PB is here and wants to know when you are stopping by to visit".

Also, where did MJ go when he left at 1:30?

Nice work. I saw the same thread of DB talking about PB. I also found a couple posts by friends (Baltimore folks who knew KB/DB as well as PB) on the 29th and 30th, asking folks if they had seen Phylicia. And KB or DB posting "Thank you" to those people.

PB being asleep at 1:30 doesn't raise any red flags for me, knowing teenagers on vacation often stay up late talking/texting/im-ing and then sleep late. But it does sound like there were a lot of people over the night before. LE said they narrowed the original list of 20 names down to 12 people who had access to the apartment and to PB that day (I am assuming the last 24 hours before she was reported missing. That might be a big assumption.)

I can't help feeling that all these texts and posts were planted. That something actually happened to her the night before.

In a brief interview, Phylicia Barnes' elder half-sister, Deena Barnes, 27, said her sister was sleeping when she left her apartment at 8:45 a.m Dec. 28. She said they spoke on the phone and texted several times that morning and through the afternoon, mostly about setting up a hair appointment for the teen. She said allegations made by Phylicia Barnes' mother, Janice Sallis, that large groups of men often congregated in her apartment are "untrue."

As for the info told to mom regarding the marijuana and alcohol, I dunno. Part of my gut is telling me PB might have felt more at ease 'experimenting' with drugs or alcohol because she was 'at home', in other words she didn't have to worry about driving to get home somewhere else and she likely felt at least safe enough in the company of her sister it might have been too late before she or anyone realized PB was in real trouble. I can't shake the feeling of something along the lines of alcohol poisoning or an od similiarly to how those things occasionally make the news with college students. A LOT of people were in and out of that apartment.

Additionally, through personal experience, when I went to college it was the kids who were 'sheltered' at home who really went wild when given a little freedom for the first time.

My gut is telling me LE has more leads than they are making public and doing so because they really want to find her - one way or the other - and according to the most recent MSM article a few posts back, I don't think anything would be back from the FBI lab yet.... it's too soon, imo.

Is there a reward offered for this case? According to previous posts it's a rough area and generally people don't want to 'spit in their backyard' so to speak. I wonder if more tips would come in with a reward. If the music was as loud as reported, someone in the apt building was likely paying attention.

I think the reward is finally up to 4,000. Wish it was more. I've wondered the same thing about did something happen to PB in the middle of the morning, before DB went to work (b/c of a text she sent to MJ. She was wondering about PB) etc...Then, the awkward text that MJ sent to DB (up and active) as if there was some concern about PB able to be awakened.

Ugh, I can't help thinking someone had PB's phone and was texting back and forth from the apartment to make it appear PB was ok.... That along with MJ's report she was 'up and ok' or something like that. Why would someone say she was up and around? I suppose cell pings should tell that story in time.....

Was KB at the party the evening prior to PB going missing? I'm wondering if not, perhaps someone pretending to be PB fooled KB into believing it was PB on the other end. I suppose LE could investigate if the texts which allegedly came from PB were her usual grammer etc....

Respectfully snipped. We're on the same wavelength. Either the night before or sometime early in the am after DB left for work when MJ tried to wake PB? If something happened MJ could have planted the electronic messages from PB. He could have enlisted the help of a friend or even helped her out of the apartment into a car where it looked like she was staggering if his adrenaline was enough. And if it was a matter of over consumption that is possible.

I too am wondering about the person who hit on PB and made her uncomfortable and of course WHY DB missed that.... Refresh my memory, was the info about someone hitting on PB from her directly or was that too from a third party?

The info about PB being hit on came from PB's mother, JS. After PB went missing, sister CS/SS (not sure if her first name starts with S or C, haven't seen it in print anywhere) disclosed the content of her conversation with PB over the phone, Monday evening/night. CS/SS had NOT told her mom about it before PB went missing. CS/SS may have thought it was just normal growing pains, and PB would learn from it. Being an older sister, she may have been pressured by PB "not to tell mom."
All of this is in the Peas in Their Pods interview with JS.

Time??? DB left the house to go to work in the morning. PB was asleep. (Baltimore CBS) (update, DB said she left at 8:45)

11:30 am PB posts on FB she is hungry. (Baltimore CBS)

12:23-12:30 pm, PB texts sister, KB, to pick her up for her hair appt. They texted back and forth. The last text was between 12:23-12:30 was the LAST text KB received. (From JVIssues show)
KB texts and phones back repeatedly after that text, with no response. Phone goes directly to message. (Baltimore CBS)

1:00 pm DB’s boyfriend (ex?) MJ says she was asleep on him. (JS, Peas interview)
“Her sister’s boyfriend last saw the girl at 1p.m. Tuesday.” (Baltimore CBS)

1:30 pm MJ leaves apartment, says she was still asleep but she mumbled she was getting up soon to get something to eat. (JS and RB, Peas Interviews)
“Police say they were told by Deena Barnes that Phylicia left the apartment about 1:30 p.m. and said she was going shopping.” (Charlotte Observer) (This was based on what boyfriend said. DB did not see PB at this time)

Time?? DB’s friends come home, find the door unlocked and music playing loudly. Baltimore CBS

5 pm DB comes home, finds PB gone. Makes phone calls. Calls brother, BB. He tells her to call their father.

5-6:00 DB texts father, RB “911, I can’t find PB”. He tells her to call LE. (RB Peas Interview)

After 6:30 BB, PB’s half brother, comes over after DB calls him at 6:30 pm. Computer is still on, he checks all her email and other accounts for anything. He finds nothing BB drives around, looking for PB, in case she is lost. (BB, Peas Interview)

8 pm, BB Returns to house, police are there. (BB, Peas Interview)
JS calls JB around 8, gets voice mail. JS then calls DB, who says she was just about to call you. JS talks to police at that time. (JS, Peas Interview)

Police brought search dogs to the apartment complex on Thursday. Family member say the dogs lost the teen's scent in the parking lot. (Fox Baltimore)

Michael Jordan or Oprah for heavens sake. Especially with all the stuff she gives away. :banghead: Imagine what Oprah could do for cases similiar to Phylicia's, especially since LE has come out and stated this case is similiar to Natalie Holloway.

Was the person hitting on PB who made her uncomfortable at the party the evening prior to her disappearance or did that happen prior to that Monday evening? ETA: Never mind, found the answer above, was posting prior to checking previous posts.... )

And why, if MJ was home that afternoon, would PB have to go get something to eat? Even if they didn't have anything they felt like cooking in the apartment why would she choose to go out rather than order something for delivery? During the week, there has to be take out available for delivery in an area that would likely deliver to businesses for lunch. Even something like Pizza Hut or Little Caesar's.... I'm not seeing a 27 yr old sister leaving her 16 year old half sister alone with nothing to eat. Wouldn't it make sense when one's company arrived they'd at least go pick up some grocery items of their guests choice if they knew that guest would be spending time around the house while the the home owner had to work?

I can only think something happened in that apartment. If not, why wouldn't someone say Phylicia had a few drinks and left with so and so? It would make more sense that DB would risk getting in trouble for allowing her much younger sister to consume alcohol than to know something far more sinister could be happening to her sister with some guy.

A well known group, Sanity Gurlz, an all female promotional company on the east coast, is striving to get national media attention in the case of missing Phylicia Barnes. She has been missing for 2 weeks. She is from Monroe, N.C. and was visiting her half sister in Baltimore when she disappeared.

But I have considered one of the people who was in and out slipping her something that knocked her out.
DB does not strike me as the kind of person who would cover up a murder, but anything is possible. I got the impression she really cared about her sister. So my theory centers around someone connected to them, who took her. But Why? Why would they take her?

I'm thinking along the same lines. It is possible she opened the door to someone and was taken by surprise, but LE is stating no evidence of anything looking amiss in the apartment and she wasn't seen on survellience immediately outside the apartment which leaves me wondering. I'm thinking along the lines of she was taken from the apartment and she did not willingly leave or was not in control of leaving the building or her sisters apartment.
