I find the hair appointment discussion very frustrating too. If she is from Monroe,NC then wouldn't her stylist be back in Monroe or that area? If she is getting her hair done by a legitimate business then wouldn't it be the same place where her sisters go? How complicated is it to call and make an appointment? Why would there be a need for numerous texts throughout the day for something so simple? Why didn't the sister ever come to the apartment to pick up Phylicia if they were supposed to get her hair fixed? Any chance that her "appointment' was right there in the apartment complex with someone who works out of their apartment? Did they bring the dogs inside the whole building? I keep going back to the fact that she was wearing "slipper boots" according to her family, who runs around outside Baltimore in slippers?

Hey all, just caught up on this case, and it's sad to see that it hasn't moved much, except the search in Patapsco State Park, which is within walking distance from our home. It is a very vast, beautiful park, with a river, lots of flowing creeks, cliffs, hills, and many isolated areas where teens and transients loiter. I would have to morbidly admit it would make for a good body dumping ground, except that there are a lot of hikers, fisherman, and other outdoorspeople.

I hope Phylicia is found soon. G-d bless her and her family.

BALTIMORE (CBS/WJZ/AP) It's been almost two weeks since anyone has seen missing teenager Phylicia Barnes, the North Carolina girl who disappeared while visiting relatives in Baltimore.

Now police are now focusing their search on Patapsco State Park, west of Baltimore.

"Through the investigative process, information has been developed, and Maryland Natural Resources Police are conducting this search at the request of the Baltimore Police Department," said Sgt. Arthur Windemuth.

I am not sure if it. I did noot see a pool in the bing veiws I looked it appears.

If you look at a larger aerial view of the apartments in the area, there is a pool in the middle of a cluster of apartments, further to the "left" on the map I was looking at. The apartment where PB was staying is not in the cluster around the pool. But I would guess the layout would be similar in the house.

I did notice that there is a railroad track running right behind the apartment area where PB was staying, for what it is worth.

ETA In MSM, it says PB was staying at an apartment in the 6500 block of Eberle drive. The 6500 block ends just before Eberle drive meets Vincent Dr, to create the island where the apartments with the pool are. So PB was definitely in the apartments on the "right" of the apartments around the pool.

Yes, those look like the apartments. Nice work!

These are the MSM links to the apartment's location:

According to police, Phylicia Barnes, an honor student from Monroe, N.C., was visiting her older sister at the Reisterstown Square Apartments on the 6500 block of Eberle Drive in Northwest Baltimore.
and
Barnes allegedly left her sister’s apartment, which is nestled between the Reisterstown Road Metro stop and Reisterstown Road Plaza, around 1:30 p.m. Dec. 28 to get something to eat.

I thought this was interesting. I didn't remember that PB had posted to FB that she was with MJ at the apartment. Someone had asked what evidence indicated he was there, other than his own admission, and DB saying he was there....
Phylicia was last heard from Dec.28 via Facebook when she posted a note saying she was at her sister's apartment with her sister's boyfriend. The 5 foot 8 inch straight-A, African-American student has been missing ever since.

Urk, this brings back memories of the serial killer in Houston who used the trains. Do vagrants ride the trains there, does anyone know? Is there a place around the apartments where the homeless camp out?

The train tracks also scared me when I saw them. Probably means nothing, but in this case any and everything seems a valid place to start.

Wonder if those lines still work? They are awfully close to the apartment. If they do still work, when do they pass through? For how long? Could it mute out the noise in the complex?

The list just goes on, honestly.

There is a metro station just across the tracks, and to the "right" of the apartments on Eberle. So it is easy to get all over the city, from right there.
Do metro stations have video cameras? To metro trains have cameras? Wonder if LE has looked at the video footage from the station, for the 24 hour period of time before PB was reported missing?
From the time of her phone conversation with her sister in North Carolina (SS) on Monday evening, to the time when Db called the police (sometime between 6-8 pm, Tuesday). That's the unaccounted for time, IMO.

The reward is only $2,500. I had read $4,000 somewhere, but all the articles the last two days say $2,500.
Seriously? That's not enough money to make someone spill their guts (or encourage someone to).
Are there any organizations in the Baltimore area that put up reward money for missing people?

I'm just wondering. The Loud music and door unlock (when people returned home). It seems a little over dramatic to me. In most cases, criminals do not want to draw attention to the scene. It almost appears as if the loud music was staged.

If it was done to appear someone was home, it still wouldn't make sense b/c with the loud music or not, who ever lives there, would have entered the apt regardless if the music was loud or not. If a person who visits there often, were to knock on the door (while hearing the loud music) and no one answered, they would turn the door knob anyway (to see if the door was unlocked).

If PB left to grab something to eat, turned the music up, to make it seem some-one was there in the apt, it still wouldn't be logical b/c she wouldn't want to draw attention to the apt as well. If the loud music was staged, it would be an inside job (created by some-one who has panicked) and not thinking straight.

Then you have MJ's side of the story not seeming to be logical. Still not understanding why KB didn't swing by the apt to check on PB and DB only going by what someone else told her.

Who gave the description of PB clothing? PB was (allegedly) still sleep the morning DB left. No one else seen her but MJ. I'm taking he gave the description (2 a T) from top to bottom. Could be nothing but, questions need to be asked. I'm certain detectives aren't releasing all they know.

She seems like a very nice and pretty girl.I pray she gets the publicity she deserves that will help find her and they find her soon.I asked before is there a banner with her missing persons information I can help put out there to help find her?

(snipped by me, bolded by me)

Exactly. Why didn't KB swing by? Does NOT make sense.
And, I was wondering if the description of clothing came from what clothes PB did not take with her? I mean, she was traveling, so probably had a limited number of clothing items. One coat, one purse, etc. She was given some white slipper-boots for Christmas, that DB warned her not to wear outside. DB didn't understand why PB had left with them on, after their discussion. I assume they think she was wearing them because they were gone, and her other shoes were there.

I know there are things on Phylicia's facebook page, Pray for Phylicia Barnes. Does that help? I don't know anything about banners. Hopefully someone else will post.
