IMO, JS was overwhelmed as an outsider, in the city. And an outsider to the Barnes family. That, in combination with her lashing out at DB in the media, made working with the Bmore family impossible. Perhaps they also didn't have the financial means with 2 or 3 other children at home to be in Bmore? I know nothing about the family dynamics, either. I get the feeling JS is a force to be reckoned with, and unable to forgive at this point. And she may have recognized that she was incapable of helping there, so went home. To be incapacitated by grief...I don't know what that feels like. I'd like to think I would be rallying the troupes and going from door to door and doing everything I could. But maybe I would be unable to move, unable to think... So I don't want to criticize family members for how they react or don't react.

To be sure.
There is no way that any of us know how JS feels or how we would react, God forbid, if placed in her unfortunate circumstance. Please know that my comment shouldn't be read with the slightest bit of criticism, inference, or subliminal dig.

I feel that there is a certain gravitas that JS's presence would bring that no one else could come close to. This is invaluable to the search effort, there's no way around it. imo

She is definitely a force to be reckoned with, yet and still this has got to be a time where JS is a fragile as a lily, and so the struggle over what to do must be gut-wrenching.

I appreciate your illustrating all of the complexities involved with JS setting up a base camp of operations in Bmore. It makes sense that it would be extremely difficult at best for her to do that.

I'm so concerned for JS. I just hope that the folks in Bmore realize that PB functioned through JS.

If there's love for PB, they have to show respect to JS. Period.

I definitely did not take your comment as a ding or dig at JS. I was adding my :twocents: and supporting you ideas with further illustration. I think we're on the same side of the coin on this. (Okay, how many coin/money references can I put in one post?)

And I bolded in your comment above what I think is crucial for the Barnes to understand. Gravitas. Yes. If they can get JS in Bmore, I think she could push mountains aside and help crack this case. Yes.

Clears up the story about the polygraph. (I apologize if this has been posted before. I missed it if it was).

DB has been cleared as having any involvement with PB's disappearance, which is why they do not need her to take a polygraph. .

Respectfully snipped.

Bumping this post to bring forward the MSM article indicating Deena Barnes has officially been cleared of any involvement in Phylicia's disappearance.

Bumping this post to bring forward the MSM article indicating Deena Barnes has officially been cleared of any involvement in Phylicia's disappearance.

Thanks for bumping up.
The videos connected to the article is important.
From the videos:
"Search for PB" video--
DB has felt the heat of the investigation, and wanted to take poly.
She was the only one who stepped up to take one.
Rondeau offered to anyone who wanted to clear the cloud of suspicion. Rondeau says that others were pondering and considering it, but DB was the only one to step up.
BPD spokesperson said LE does not need a poly from DB, as she was not present at the time of PB's disappearance and is not a suspect.

"Polygraph canceled" video
After repeated interviews with LE, MJ hired an attorney and stopped talking.
MJ started talking with LE again when the polygraph for DB was announced... Hmmm.

I agree 100%... but ONLY if she can work with DB, KB, and BB and get answers from them as well - and get them to all help. I agree that maybe DB didn't provide the best environment for PB, but JS has got to set that aside if she wants them to work with her and for RB to stop trying to keep her away from his kids... While I was driving home from work, a tote bin came to mind again that I mentioned in another thread. Out of fear of where to hide evidence, people tend to not think rational. Where or what to do with the evidence? Go to the nearest store and buy supplies? There is a walkway from the apartments to Home Depot with cameras on the wall of Home Depot. PB was not seen in these cameras, but did LE check the cameras for any of the POIs at the times in question? If a tote/storage bin were purchased there, Home Depot would have the date and time purchased; and cameras in the store.

That sounds like a great idea. Places such as Home Depot, Walmart, Target etc..LE or whomever SHOULD check those cameras. I was going to say check camera for footage on the 28th after 11:00am or so but, it might better to check from the time the stores opened (just in case) this horrific act was thought out before it happened. (not saying it was premeditated) But we never know. Leave no stone unturned. Great post in my eyes Sun48shine. Thanks

RB said that KB's dog was home with PB. I saw the dog in person. A stranger would hesitate before coming in apartment with the dog there. Notice the laptop in the corner is on a page that looks like Facebook. Inbox message is open too!

Good eye!!! Thanks!!! Speaking of dogs, I remember it being reported that a certain type of dogs sniffed PB's scent to the parking lot. Then, When I viewed a video, a man said that the dogs only sniffed PB's scent to (the building door-way entry). I wonder which is correct. I'm assuming parking lot. If MJ had to move something heavy, such as a Hope you don't catch me Chest, he would have needed help to carry it. Certainly, any large items, he would have needed assistance to carry out to the parking lot. If MJ had a tote/duffel bag that weighed at least a 100 lbs or so (if that's possible), he wouldn't want to carry that by himself to the parking lot either. Unless he had a furniture moving dolly to wheel a heavy box or something. Most times people like to get their vehicle/transportation as close to the door-way as possible. I still don't see how he had much time to pack and move much of anything before 1:30pm; being that he was so occupied with what was going on with PB; along with the other drama. I guess all he moved was the laundry he (supposedly) had done and (maybe) PB.

Also, now I'm wondering, is there a comp somewhere in the apt too?

In all fairness, I wanted to add that we don't know the dynamics behind the scenes between JS and RB's other kids. They do all need to work together. I think JS is hurting/angry/lashing out, and I think the other Barnes' kids have gotten defense over being blamed for contributing somehow to the harm that came to PB.

I sincerely hope they can move past this, get JS back to Baltimore, and make some progress. At first, I was really glad to see JS on TV and thought she may be another 'Beth Holloway'. I know it may not be the family's doing that national media seems to have less and less on Phylicia's case, but perhaps NG would give it another go if they all appeared together...?

Just wishing for some kind of break here.

I agree. This needs to happen. I know it might be tough for each of them to handle but, what is important is finding out as much as they can (together), so they can locate PB. They need to come together and work together. Put PB first. I agree

KB's dog or DB's dog?

I had also read that the scent was traced to the sidewalk. So it may be that bit of information has gotten translated too many times.

Like the last time PB was heard from. 12:23 gets changed to "about 12:30" which gets changed to "12:30". I wish reporters would stick with the specifics. I think some try and change things up so they aren't reporting the same old news. But in cases like this, being exact and specific is crucial. I'm preaching to the choir on this, though, so I'll stop.... (insert Cubby's cool rant over face here..."

Correction,DB's dog, not KB's.

Sun Reporter mentioned that bloodhounds followed PB's scent to parking lot.

What the heck? Now there was a dog there? As in a dog that would need to go out to pee or that PB may have taken for a walk? A dog that might bark during an altercation? Sorry for all the ?'s but this is just too strange. Why not say something, oh, maybe 2 months ago when Baltimore LE was whining about no media interest. They need to be cohesive or lose whatever attention they've already received. Do you know if they took the bloodhounds BEHIND the buildings to the railroad tracks?

Oh! and WELCOME to Websleuths! It's so helpful to have a local posting!

I agree. If the dog was fine when DB got there, and the dog didn't stay in a crate or something when in the house (being in a crate would render the dog useless, imo, if something went bad), the dog is a big clue. It reinforces that PB either went on her own, or the person who took her/harmed her was more of a pack member to the dog than PB was...

And...where was the dog when they came back to the "open door" and "music blaring?" My dog likes it outside. If we leave a door open, he's sure to venture out.

Extremely good point.
I would hazard a guess the dog was either in a crate or kept in a separate room when people left the house (so PB put the dog in that area) or the coming home to music and door open was not true, or MJ took the dog with him at the request of DB for some reason???? I'm stretching here.

I think this is too important to get buried in the thread, so I wanted to bump it up.
LE has checked the exterior cameras. If they have checked the interior cameras for the 28th of Dec, they have not said so publicly. I assume they would have thought of this tangent. I hope so. Check the cameras for any of the POI's on the day of the 28th, in Home Depot across from the apts.
I also think checking the Walmarts between wherever MJ moved to, and DB's apartment would be good to do.
